Men's Basketball: Ravens Rebound in Second Half but Fall to Daeman

AMHERST, N.Y. (12/19/2023) -- The Franklin Pierce men's basketball team suffered a 93-73 loss Tuesday afternoon to Daemen on the road at Lumsden Gymnasium.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
• Daemen senior guard Andrew Mason led all scorers with 26 points. He shot 9 for 12 from the field and an impressive 8 for 9 from behind the arc.
• Sophomore guard Justin Glover had 20 points off the bench for Daemen.
• The difference in this game was the first half, as Daemen outscored Franklin Pierce 47-27. In the second half, both teams scored 46 points.
• Two Ravens finished the afternoon in double figures. Junior forward Sean Trumper (Ashford, United Kingdom) had 25 points and shot 7 for 11 from the field. He was 4 for 4 from behind the arc and 7 for 7 from the free-throw line. Junior guard Jarnel Snow-Guzman (Lynn, MA) had 11 points and shot 3 for 7 from the field. He was 3 for 4 from the three-point line and 2 for 2 from the charity stripe.

BREAKING DOWN THE NUMBERS:
• Franklin Pierce shot 40% from the field (23 for 58). Daemen shot 53% from the field (35 for 66)
• Franklin Pierce shot 42% from behind the arc (13 for 31). Daemen shot 52% from behind the arc (12 for 23).
• Franklin Pierce shot 78% from the free throw line (14 for 18). Daemen shot 69% from the free-throw line (11 for 16).

NEXT UP FOR THE RAVENS:
• The Franklin Pierce Ravens return home to The Fieldhouse after the Christmas holiday to take on Dominican (N.Y.) on Friday, December 29, with tip-off at 1 p.m.
