HOW IT HAPPENED:

  • The game between the Cougars and the Ravens started off as a point for point battle until about halfway through the first half when Caldwell pulled away temporarily with an eight-point lead. Chipping away at the deficit, the Ravens repeatedly caught up and then fell behind but were able to get on track by the end of the first half which closed out with a 44-41 Caldwell lead.
  • Just 45 seconds into the second half, the Ravens tied the game and took the lead for the first time in the game. Though short lived, the halftime break breathed some life into the Raven's offense which punched the gas in the second half.
  • Around the 15-minute mark, the Ravens scored six unanswered points powered by Ugo Nwachukwu, Pierce Prendergast, and RJ Delahaye to make it 55-49 Ravens. The lead, which was the team's largest until that point, gave the Ravens some breathing room.
  • Several baskets later, the score read 60-55 Ravens, which is when FPU turned on the jets and went on another 9-point run to boost themselves to a 14-point lead. For the final ten minutes of the game, the Ravens were ahead by at least ten points and went on to close out the victory  83-69.
