RINDGE, N.H. (February 12, 2022) – Senior Isaiah Moore (Temple Hills, Md.) recorded the 1000th point of his career on Saturday afternoon in the Fieldhouse. He needed only 14 to do so, but poured in a game-high 29 anyway, to lead the Franklin Pierce University men's basketball team to a 75-71 win over Northeast-10 Conference opponent Saint Michael's College. Freshman Nic Button led four Purple Knights in double digits with 19 points in defeat.

With the win, the Ravens improve to 12-7 (9-5 NE10) with five games to play in the regular season, while Saint Michael's falls to 1-14 (3-11 NE10).

The first half was tightly contested between the two squads, and the Ravens posted a three-point lead (36-33) at the break. Moore led the team with 11 points and three assists in the half, while senior Derrick Obanor (Hyde Park, Mass.) and graduate student Donnavan Bonilla (Port Saint Lucie, Fla.) each recorded blocks on the defensive end.

Button exploded on the front end for Saint Michael's, as he recorded 16 of his 18 points in the frame, while shooting 6-for-8 from the field and 5-for-8 from beyond the three-point line. Senior Patrick Gardner grabbed six boards in the opening stanza.

Moore continued to produce for the Ravens throughout, as he went for 18 more in the second half to finish with 29. His 1000th career point came at the 9:49 mark of the second half, and he became the 36th player in program history to reach the milestone. Moore was one assist from a double-double, as he dished out nine, to finish as both the game's leading scorer and playmaker. Junior Maxwell Zegarowski (South Hamilton, Mass.) complemented the attack with 11 points of his own in the win, as the junior duo combined for 40 of the team's 75 points.

Button finished with 19 points for Saint Michael's, while freshman Nahshon Battle and Gardner helped out with 16 and 14, respectively. The latter grabbed nine boards to tie for the game high with fellow freshman Jacob Duniver, who narrowly missed double digits on two accounts, with nine points and nine rebounds.

The Ravens are right back at it at home in the Fieldhouse on Monday night, when they host New Haven in an NE10 tilt at 6 p.m.
