RINDGE, N.H. (January 14, 2020) – The Franklin Pierce University men's basketball program intimidated Northeast-10 Conference opponent the College of Saint Rose in the post and off the bench during the Ravens eighth win over their last 10 games, an 83-65 decision in The Fieldhouse Friday evening. With the win, Pierce improves to 11-5, 6-3 NE10 while the Golden Knights fall to 4-14, 1-8 NE10.

Junior guard Sean Fasoyiro (Houston, Texas) had one of his best games of the season as he scored 11 points in only his fourth start of the year with team-high nine rebounds – five offensive, and five drawn fouls. Team captain Doyin Fadojutimi (Temple Hills, Md.) manufactured his eighth 20+ point contest with a game-high 24 points, seven rebounds, a match-best five steals and a perfect 7-of-7 performance from the free-throw line.

Isaiah Moore (Temple Hills, Md.) was the third Raven starter in double-figures with 11 points and a game-high four dimes. Maxwell Zegarowski (South Hamilton, Mass.) tallied his second straight game with double-digit points as he poured in 13 in 24 minutes off the bench.

As a team Pierce was an unblemished 19-for-19 (100%) at the free-throw line, a feat they have not accomplished since the 2014-15 campaign on January 31, 2015, in The Fieldhouse against Le Moyne College (12-for-12). The crimson and grey also scored 31 points off 27 Golden Knight miscues.

NE10 leading scorer and rebounder Sekou Sylla provided a double-double, his national-leading 14th of the year with 22 points and 12 rebounds while committing a game-high seven turnovers in the setback. Manasseh Small turned in 20 points with six triples and Cartier Bowman joined Sylla with a double-double, 10 points, and 11 boards.

Fadojutimi took a drive to the rack for the game's first points as he kept the possession alive with an offensive rebound. Trailing by three, a Bowman layup coupled with a Small three put the Ravens down, two, 14-12 at the 13:39 mark. Antonio Chandler (Piscataway, N.J.) followed a missed Moore lay-in with a tip two-handed dunk giving the Ravens their biggest lead in the early stages 20-16. Small converted his fourth three of the half to regain the slim two-point edge, their final lead of the match.

FPU took a 30-second timeout and went on a game shaping 14-2 run which was started by a Falu Seck (Washington, D.C.) right-wing three that turned the 24-22 deficit into a 10 point advantage, 36-26 when Moore dropped home two freebies at the line. Saint Rose kept trading points with Pierce before two free chances by Fadojutimi reestablished the 10 points halftime margin.

In the second half, Saint Rose came within nine points three times, the final time was a Small three-ball with 9:20 to go. Fasoyiro knocked down the only three in the second half at the top of the point for the Ravens to open up a 16 point, 75-59 score which was part of a match concluding 11-2 binge. The Golden Knights countered with a paint bash down low, however, the Ravens lead grew to a high of 22 with 1:28 to play.

The Ravens remain at home on Wednesday, January 22nd when they welcome Southern Connecticut State University (8-6, 4-4 NE10) for a conference bout at 7:30 p.m.
