RINDGE, N.H. (February 13, 2017) – Franklin Pierce University men's basketball senior guard Donte Gittens (Hartford, Conn.) has been named the Spalding Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week Monday afternoon by the league offices.

Gittens led his team to a 2-0 record last week as he averaged 22.0 points, 6.0 rebounds, 5.0 assists and 1.5 steals. He also knocked down 16-of-24 (66.7%) from the floor and 11-of-13 (84.6%) from the charity stripe. In a win over Saint Michael's on Wednesday, he scored 20 points to go along with eight rebounds, five assists and two steals. On Saturday at Bentley, Gittens was in attack mode early and often as he recorded his second straight 20 point effort with 24 points on 8-of-11 (72.7%) shooting and a 7-of-9 (77.8%) performance at the free throw line . He also chipped in five helpers, four boards and a theft.

Over the Ravens three game winning streak that started with a 102-97 overtime victory at Stonehill on February 4th, Gittens has averaged 17.0 points, 7.0 rebounds, 5.7 assists, and 1.3 steals per game while knocking down 18-of-34 (52.9%) shots from the field, and 13-of-17 (76.4%) at the line.

The Ravens look to extend their three game winning streak on Wednesday when play host to NE10 foe Southern New Hampshire University with tip-off slated for 7:30 p.m.
