RINDGE, N.H. (10/04/2023) -- It was a hot and sunny afternoon at Sodexo Field as the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team took down conference opponent Molloy University, winning 1-0.

With the win, the Ravens improved to 4-5 (3-3 NE-10). With the loss, Molloy fell to 0-8 (0-6 NE-10).

Franklin Pierce took control early and scored the game's only goal under five minutes into the first quarter. After several opportunities in the offensive zone, junior forward Caity Hazley (Kingston, MA) finished the job after she slipped by the Lion's defense and buried a shot bottom right. For Hazley, the goal marked her second of the season.

Though it was the game's only goal, the Ravens dominated all four quarters outshooting the Lions 18-4. Freshman goalkeeper Zoe Noorlag (Amersfoort, Netherlands) tallied four saves and recorded her first career shutout. As a team, the Ravens have boasted a 4-1 record on Sodexo this season.

NEXT UP FOR THE RAVENS: Franklin Pierce remains home at Sodexo Field in Rindge, New Hampshire, as they take on St. Thomas Aquinas (NY) on Saturday, October 7, at 6 p.m.
