Field Hockey’s Canavan, Moulton Collect All-NE10 Honors

Carly Canavan and Raegan Moulton All-NE10

NE10 All-Conference Teams

RINDGE, N.H. (November 1, 2017) – Senior forward Carly Canavan (Kingston, N.Y.) and junior midfielder Raegan Moulton (Baldwinville, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team have both been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Second Team, as announced on Wednesday by the Conference office.

For Canavan, it is her second career All-NE10 selection, as she also landed on the Second Team as a sophomore in 2015, in addition to an All-Rookie Team selection as a freshman in 2014. Moulton earns her first career All-NE10 honor, after picking up All-Rookie Team accolades as a freshman in 2015.

Canavan dished out a career-best seven assists this fall, as part of a 17-point senior campaign, which put her second on the team in scoring. She scored five goals along the way, including two game-winning goals, and went 1-for-1 in penalty strokes.

Canavan wrapped up her career as the school’s all-time leading scorer, with 75 career points. She also finished second in program annals in career goals (31) and tied for third in career assists (13). Canavan was only the second player in program history to reach the 70-point and 30-goal plateaus for her career, joining Tia Levins ’12, who also accomplished both.

Meanwhile, Moulton returned to the field and led the team in scoring in 2017 after missing all of 2016 due to injury. She finished the season with 22 points on eight goals and six assists, including three game-winning goals. Moulton’s point total currently ranks 14th in the NE10.

The Ravens finished the season at 10-7 (7-5 NE10), one win off the program record and in a three-way tie for fifth in the NE10. Franklin Pierce missed out on the six-team NE10 Championship, and its first postseason appearance since 2011, via tiebreakers.
