Letarte Letarte becomes the 12th Raven selected to the NFHCA North/South Senior Game.

RINDGE, N.H. (November 13, 2013) – Senior forward Chanelle Letarte (Lunenburg, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team has been selected to represent the North Squad at the National Field Hockey Coaches Association North/South Senior Game, as announced by the NFHCA. The game is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 23 at 12:30 p.m. at Virginia Beach Sportsplex in Virginia Beach, Va., host of the 2013 national semifinals and national championship matches across all three NCAA divisions.

Letarte, a tri-captain with Franklin Pierce, will join 12 of her Northeast-10 Conference brethren for an all-star game against the South Squad. It is the fourth straight season the Ravens have sent a representative to North/South Senior Game, with Megan Bird making the trip a year ago. Letarte becomes the 12th selection to the contest in program history.

The team's biggest offensive threat over the past two seasons, Letarte led the Ravens in scoring in 2013 with 18 points on eight goals and two assists, setting new career highs in both points and goals. For her career, she finished with 18 goals and five assists for 41 points. Those numbers allow Letarte to leave the program tied for fifth all-time in goals and tied for sixth all-time in points.

Over the course of her career, she played in 71 games for the Ravens, missing only two contests during her time in Rindge, both of which came as a freshman. Letarte was a three-year starter as a forward and is one of just 15 players in program history to play in 70-or-more games.
