132 Franklin Pierce Student-Athletes Named to 2010 Northeast-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll

Field hockey highlights the list with 17 players named to the academic honor roll

RINDGE, N.H. (July 1, 2010) – Franklin Pierce University had 132 of its student-athletes named to the Spring 2010 Northeast-10 Conference Comissioner’s Honor Roll earlier this week. The 132 student-athletes came from 15 teams on the Rindge campus that compete in the Northeast-10.

On the women’s side, the field hockey team led the way for all teams with 17 of its student-athletes being named to the honor roll. The men’s team with the highest number of honorees was the lacrosse squad, which produced 13 members on the academic list.

Four other Raven teams produced double-digit honorees on the academic honor roll, including women’s soccer (15), ice hockey (12), softball (10) and women’s lacrosse (10). Three programs placed nine student-athletes on the honor roll, including the NCAA East Regional champion women’s basketball and baseball teams, and the men’s soccer squad.

The other Franklin Pierce teams to be recognized on the honor roll included golf (5 honorees), men’s basketball (4 honorees), men’s tennis (3 honorees), volleyball (6 honorees), cross country (5 honorees) and women’s tennis (5 honorees).

To be eligible for selection to the Northeast-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded a minimum 3.0 semester grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the spring '10 semester.
