Ravens put three on Weekly Honor Roll

RINDGE, N.H. (October 14, 2015) – Freshman forward Nathalia Maria da Silva (Sao Paulo, Brazil) of the Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week, as announced on Monday by the Conference office. In addition, three Ravens across three sports have been named to the Northeast-10 Weekly Honor Roll.

The freshman forward was the main offensive weapon for the Ravens in a 1-1-0 week. On Tuesday at Saint Rose, da Silva scored twice in the second half, though it was not quite enough to save Franklin Pierce from a 3-2 defeat. On Saturday, at home against Bentley, she dished out a pair of second-half assists in a 3-2 win. On the season, da Silva leads the Ravens in scoring with 21 points on eight goals and five assists.

ON THE HONOR ROLL:

- Carly Canavan (Kingston, N.Y.), field hockey -- The sophomore forward scored twice in a 1-1 week for the Ravens, with both goals coming in Saturday's win at Southern Connecticut State, where she scored the game-winner in overtime.

- Victor DaCosta (Rehoboth, Mass.), men's soccer -- The freshman midfielder scored twice in a 1-0-0 week for the Ravens, as he netted his first two collegiate goals on Saturday in a 3-1 win at Saint Anselm.

- Yasmin Civan (Antalya, Turkey), women's soccer -- The junior forward scored twice in a 1-1-0 week for the Ravens, as she found the net on each of her two shots in Saturday's 3-2 win over Bentley.
