RINDGE, N.H. (September 14, 2015) – It was a banner week for Franklin Pierce University teams, as six student-athletes earned weekly awards from the Northeast-10 Conference, as announced on Monday by the Conference office. In addition, the Ravens put six more student-athletes on the Weekly Honor Roll.

Cross country collected three awards between its two teams, as senior Colton Ham (Webster, N.H.) earned Men's Athlete of the Week honors, freshman Peter Saviano (Sandown, N.H.) earned Men's Rookie of the Week accolades and freshman Sarah Hart (Glastonbury, Conn.) earned Women's Rookie of the Week honors. Meanwhile, sophomore Casey Cook (Beverly, Mass.) was named Women's Soccer Goalkeeper of the Week, sophomore midfielder Midori Ono (Tokyo, Japan) was named Women's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week, sophomore setter Hannah Runge (Deltona, Fla.) was named Volleyball Setter of the Week and sophomore Camden Morrison (Millis, Mass.) was named Women's Golfer of the Week.

Ham led a wildly successful week for Ravens cross country at the Philadelphia Metropolitan Championships, hosted by Philadelphia Univ. His 8k time of 28:15.5 was good for second overall and keyed a blowout victory for Franklin Pierce at the meet. Saviano checked in at 28:58.0 to take fifth place, as Franklin Pierce put four runners in the top 10. Meanwhile, on the women's side, Hart was part of a fourth-place finish for the Ravens. Her 5k time of 23:00.1 was good for 32nd place.

Cook and Ono led the defensive effort for the women's soccer team, which did not allow a goal in its only game last week. The Ravens shutout Pace, 1-0, on Saturday afternoon, while allowing just five shots on goal along the way. Cook turned all five of them aside to notch her first shutout of the season, which was also the seventh of her career.

Runge distributed the ball all weekend for a Ravens volleyball offense which chalked up a 4-0 record at the Wildcat Invitational, hosted by Wilmington (Del.) Univ. She had a pair of 50-assist matches on the week and ultimately averaged 10.47 assists and 2.41 digs per set. Runge chipped in eight aces and seven blocks along the way as well.

***(UPDATE: 10 a.m. Wednesday)*** Morrison led the women's golf team to a ninth-place finish over the weekend by placing second overall at the Michael Corbett Classic. She opened with a 74 (+2) on Sunday and followed with a 76 (+4) on Monday to finish at 150 (+6).

ON THE HONOR ROLL:

- Chelsey Burnell (Porter, Maine), field hockey -- The senior midfielder scored a pair of goals in a 2-0 week for the Ravens. Both of her scores came in the second half against Southern Connecticut State on Wednesday, including the game-winner with 11:49 to play.

- Samantha Geils (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.), field hockey -- The freshman goalkeeper made four saves in her collegiate debut to pick up her first career shutout in a 1-0 win at Mercy on Saturday.

- Jordan LeGuyader (Jersey, United Kingdom), men's soccer -- The sophomore goalkeeper went 2-0-0 last week while stopping 11 of 13 shots on his goal in wins over Dowling and Molloy.

- Marius Preber (Jessheim, Norway), men's soccer -- The junior forward put home a goal in each of the team's two games last week, including the game-winner against Dowling, while adding an assist along the way.

- Lloyd Ross (London, England), men's soccer -- The freshman forward picked up two goals and an assist -- including a blistering free-kick goal Saturday night against Molloy -- in a 2-0-0 week for the Ravens.

- Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.), women's cross country -- The senior notched the first-ever individual victory in program history with a 5k time of 20:27.6, leading the Ravens to a fourth-place finish at the Philadelphia Metropolitan Championship.
