RINDGE, N.H. (February 16, 2016) – Senior Kara Charette (Fairhaven, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University women's basketball team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league office. In addition, sophomore Tom McGuckin (Clayton, N.J.) of the men's ice hockey team has been named Northeast-10 Co-Goaltender of the Week and four other Ravens have landed on the Weekly Honor Roll in their respective sport.

Charette piled up 26.5 points per game last week in a 2-0 week for the Ravens, shooting 63.9% from the floor while doing so. Along the way, she averaged five rebounds, one assist and one steal per game as well. At Saint Michael's on Tuesday night, she poured in a season-best 28 points. Charette followed up on Saturday with 25 points on 11-for-16 from the floor, to go with six rebounds, two assists, one steal and one block in a win over Bentley.

As for McGuckin, he was in net for Franklin Pierce's only game last week, a Tuesday night win at home against Daniel Webster. He stopped all 32 shots on his goal on the night to post his second shutout of the season.

ON THE HONOR ROLL:

- Alyssa Lambert (Manchester, N.H.), women's track & field -- The senior threw down the nation's top time thus far in the 1000 meters, finishing 11th at the BU Valentine Invitational with a time of 2:52.04.

- Emily Quinn (West Bridgewater, Mass.), women's track & field -- The sophomore finished 24th in the weight throw at the BU Valentine Invitational on Saturday, with a heave of 14.29 meters, which is currently good for fourth in the Northeast-10.

- Karsyn Baker (Detroit, Mich.), women's ice hockey (New England Hockey Conference) -- The senior tallied 3-2-5 in a 2-0-0 week for the Ravens, putting in a goal and two assists at Plymouth State on Friday and scoring twice against Manhattanville at home on Saturday.

- Jessica Davies (Cape Coral, Fla.), bowling (East Coast Conference) -- The sophomore earned All-Tournament Team honors over the weekend at the Golden Bear Classic, as she posted a Baker frame average of 19.2 to lead the Ravens to a seventh-place finish.
