155 Franklin Pierce Student-Athletes Named to NE-10 Commissioner's Spring Academic Honor Roll

Four student-athletes earn 4.0 GPAs during the spring semester

FPU STUDENT-ATHLETES NAMED TO HONOR ROLL

RINDGE, N.H. (July 25, 2012) -- Franklin Pierce University recently had 155 of its student-athletes named to the Spring 2012 Northeast-10 Commissioner's Academic Honor Roll. The 155 student-athletes came from 15 teams on the Rindge campus that compete in the Northeast-10 Conference.

On the men's side, the baseball team led the way for all teams with 18 of its student-athletes being named to the honor roll. The women's team with the highest number of honorees was the soccer squad, which posted 13 of its members on the academic list.

Five other Ravens teams produced double-digit honorees on the academic honor roll, including men's ice hockey (17), men's lacrosse (16), field hockey (12), softball (10) and golf (10).

The other Franklin Pierce teams to be recognized on the honor roll included volleyball (9), men's soccer (9), women's lacrosse (8), women's basketball (8), men's tennis (7), women's tennis, cross country (6) and men's basketball (5).

Four student-athletes produced perfect 4.0 grade point averages during the semester, including softball's Jessica Colson (Feeding Hills, Mass.), golf's Robert Greggerson (Seekonk, Mass.), women's lacrosse's Kristen Norton (Sandown, N.H.) and volleyball's Catie Swiderski (Rocky Point, N.Y.).

To be eligible for selection to the Northeast-10 Commissioner's Honor Roll, a student-athlete must have met and/or exceeded a minimum 3.0 semester grade point average (on a 4.0 scale) during the spring '12 semester.
