(Feb. 23, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce ice hockey suffered a 5-2 defeat to Saint Michael’s College tonight in Northeast-10 competition at the Robinson-Broadhurst Arena in Winchendon, Mass. Junior Alex Watts (Cheshire, Conn./Berkshire School (Mass.) collected two goals, including the game-winner for the Purple Knights, as both teams wrapped up their regular season slates.

(Feb. 20, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce ice hockey team collected a 7-2 victory over Nichols College tonight in ECAC Northeast competition at the Robinson-Broadhurst Arena in Winchendon, Mass. With the win, the Ravens set a new program mark for wins in a season, with six. The previous mark of five was set last year.

(Januray 29, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce ice hockey battled to a 2-2 tie with ECAC Northeast opponent Assumption College this afternoon at the Robinson-Broadhurst Arena in Winchendon, Mass. The Ravens trailed by one goal late in regulation, but junior Jason Pierce (Maynard, Mass./Nashoba Regional) sent the game to overtime, as he found the net for the second time of the day.

(Jan. 20, 2005) – The Franklin Pierce ice hockey team dropped a 5-4 heartbreaker to the Wentworth Institute of Technology in ECAC Northeast competition tonight at the Matthews Arena in Boston, Mass. Junior Mark Cavanagh (Warwick, R.I./Toll Gate) scored a power play goal at the 18:59 mark of the third period to break a 4-4 tie, and the Leopards held the Ravens scoreless for the final minute of play to preserve their undefeated conference record.

Freshman Matt McGilvary (Rochester, N.H./Laconia Leafs) figured in on all four goals for the Wildcats, scoring two and assisting on two more.
Reynolds Earns Weekly Honors

RINDGE, N.H. (Jan. 10, 2005) – Franklin Pierce freshman Ben Reynolds (Wallingford, Pa./Green Mountain Glades) was named the Northeast-10 Conference ice hockey Freshman of the Week by the Conference office on Monday for the first time of his career. He was also named ECAC Northeast Rookie of the Week for the first time on Tuesday. In three games last week, he totaled five points on three goals and two assists.
