(December 2, 2010) -- Three members of the 2010 Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team garnered Daktronics Division II All-America honors on Thursday, as announced by the organization in conjunction with AthleticSite.com(.) The trio included junior forward Amanda Panaro (Rockland, Mass.), who was named to the second-team, senior midfielder Shona Franklin (Birmingham, England), who garnered third-team accolades, and senior back Kelly Weygand (Bridgewater, Mass.), who earned honorable-mention status.

(November 16, 2010) -- Franklin Pierce University women's soccer standouts Amanda Panaro (Rockland, Mass.), Shona Franklin (Birmingham, England) and Kelly Weygand (Bridgewater, Mass.) were named to the 2010 Daktronics All-East Region First-Team, as announced on Tuesday by the company in conjunction with AthleticSite.com(.) By being named to the first-team, the trio will now move on for consideration for the All-America Team, which will be announced at a later date in either late-November or early-December.

(November 12, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team concluded its 2010 season on Friday with a 3-1 loss to Bridgeport in the first round of the NCAA Division II Tournament in Albany, N.Y. The Ravens, seeded fourth in this year's national tournament, finished the campaign with a 14-6-1 record. The Purple Knights, seeded fifth, improved to 14-3-2 and advanced to Sunday's second round where they will take on No. 1-nationally ranked Saint Rose.

NORTH ANDOVER, Mass. (November 4, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team downed Merrimack, 4-2, on Thursday afternoon in North Andover, Mass., in the Northeast-10 Semifinals. The third-seeded Ravens improved to 14-4-1, while the second-seeded Warriors fell to 12-5-3. The Ravens will now face top-seeded Saint Rose in the NE-10 Championship game on Sunday at 1 p.m. in Albany, N.Y.

(November 3, 2010) – Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer standout Amanda Panaro (Rockland, Mass.) was recently named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I First-Team for her efforts on the field, but more importantly in the classroom. It marks the second major accolade for Panaro this week, as on Monday, she was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference First-Team. By being named to the Academic District I First-Team, Panaro is now eligible to be placed on the Academic All-America Team, which will be announced at a later date.
Aya Noguchi Named to NE-10 Women's Soccer Weekly Honor Roll

(November 1, 2010) -- Franklin Pierce University women's soccer junior midfielder Aya Noguchi (Tokyo, Japan) was named to the Northeast-10 Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday for her impressive performance in a pair of Ravens' wins last week. Noguchi scored a goal in each of her team's wins last week, including a tally in the fourth minute of Sunday's 3-1 win over Adelphi in the Northeast-10 Quarterfinals.

With the win, the third-seeded Ravens advanced to Thursday's conference semifinals where they will face second-seeded Merrimack in North Andover, Mass. Franklin Pierce improved to 13-4-1 on the season, while Adelphi, seeded sixth in the conference tournament, concluded its season with an 8-8-1 record.

(October 29, 2010) – Seven members of the Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer team were honored by the Northeast-10 with all-conference recognition on Friday, highlighted by junior forward Amanda Panaro (Rockland, Mass.), senior midfielder Shona Franklin (Birmingham, Mass.) and senior back Kelly Weygand (Bridgewater, Mass.) being named first-team honorees. The other four that were honored, included: junior midfielder Aya Noguchi (Tokyo, Japan) being named to the second-team; junior goalkeeper Jocelyn Leon (Lenox, Mass.) being named to the third-team; and freshmen Margret Thorolfsdottir (Reykjavit, Iceland) and Joanna Gibson (London, England) being named to the All-Rookie Team.

(October 27, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team closed out its 2010 regular season on Wednesday afternoon with a come-from-behind 3-2 victory over Saint Anselm in Epping, N.H. The Ravens concluded the regular season with a 12-4-1 overall record and a 10-4-1 mark in Northeast-10 play. The Hawks concluded their season with a 5-10-1 mark and a 5-9-1 record in league action.
