(November 12, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's soccer team concluded its 2010 season on Friday with a 3-1 loss to Bridgeport in the first round of the NCAA Division II Tournament in Albany, N.Y. The Ravens, seeded fourth in this year's national tournament, finished the campaign with a 14-6-1 record. The Purple Knights, seeded fifth, improved to 14-3-2 and advanced to Sunday's second round where they will take on No. 1-nationally ranked Saint Rose.

(November 3, 2010) – Franklin Pierce University women’s soccer standout Amanda Panaro (Rockland, Mass.) was recently named to the ESPN The Magazine Academic All-District I First-Team for her efforts on the field, but more importantly in the classroom. It marks the second major accolade for Panaro this week, as on Monday, she was named to the Northeast-10 All-Conference First-Team. By being named to the Academic District I First-Team, Panaro is now eligible to be placed on the Academic All-America Team, which will be announced at a later date.

Noguchi scored a goal in each of her team's wins last week, including a tally in the fourth minute of Sunday's 3-1 win over Adelphi in the Northeast-10 Quarterfinals.

With the win, the third-seeded Ravens advanced to Thursday's conference semifinals where they will face second-seeded Merrimack in North Andover, Mass. Franklin Pierce improved to 13-4-1 on the season, while Adelphi, seeded sixth in the conference tournament, concluded its season with an 8-8-1 record.
