RINDGE, N.H. (November 16, 2010) -- Franklin Pierce
University women's soccer standouts Amanda Panaro
(Rockland, Mass.), Shona Franklin (Birmingham,
England) and Kelly Weygand (Bridgewater,
Mass.) were named to the 2010 Daktronics All-East Region
First-Team, as announced on Tuesday by the company in conjunction

will now move on for consideration for the All-America Team, which
will be announced at a later date in either late-November or
early-December.

conference in goals (20) and points (44). She also led the league
in points per game (2.10) and goals per game (0.95), while ranking
second in shots (96) and shots per game (4.57). Panaro, who

for the Ravens during the season as she totaled eight goals and six
assists for 22 points. She ranked among the top-15 in the league in
goals and was ninth in total points, while also earning a spot on
the all-league first-team.

first-team, anchored a strong defensive unit for the Ravens this
season which finished among the league leaders in goals against
average and shutouts. Weygand provided a huge offensive lift for
Franklin Pierce in its 4-2 victory over Merrimack in the conference
semifinals back on Nov. 4, as she scored twice to help the Ravens
pull off the come-from-behind win.
The three standouts helped Franklin Pierce finish the season with a

Championship match and a berth in the NCAA Division II Tournament.
The trip to the national tournament was the program's 19th
consecutive, which is an NCAA Division II-record.
