Castleton State Wins Franklin Pierce Spring Invitational

JAFFREY, N.H. (April 29, 2009) – Castleton State College captured the team title by just a stroke at the Franklin Pierce Spring Invitational on the 6,077-yard par-71 layout at The Shattuck this afternoon. Franklin Pierce freshmen Brian Fleckles (Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich) and Robert Greggerson (Seekonk, Mass./Seekonk) along with Castleton’s Brian Hopkins were tri-medalists at the event after posting identical rounds of 82.

SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (April 21, 2009) – The Franklin Pierce University golf team moved up two spots to finish eighth overall on day two of the American International College/Northeast-10 Invitational on the 6,531-yard, par 72, layout at Springfield Country Club today. Freshman Brian Fleckles (Sandwich, Mass./Sandwich) led Franklin Pierce as he followed up his opening round 84 with a six-over-par round of 78 today to place 16th overall with a combined score of 162.
