Women's Lacrosse Puts Together Historic 2010 Season as the Squad Contended for a Playoff Spot

RINDGE, N.H. (June 24, 2010) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team entered the final week of the 2010 regular season still fighting for a spot in the Northeast-10 Conference playoffs. Despite coming up just short in its bid for a playoff spot, Franklin Pierce still put together a historic season in Rindge as the Ravens continue to build towards the future in women’s lacrosse. In fact, 16 of the team’s 17 players in 2010 are expected to return for the 2011 campaign.

(May 5, 2010) -- Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse standout Jordan Baillargeon (Westfield, Mass.) was named to the 2010 Northeast-10 Conference Women's Lacrosse Second-Team this week. It marked the second time in her career she was placed on the NE-10 second-team, as she also gained the recognition during her freshman season in 2008.

RINDGE, N.H. (April 28, 2010) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s lacrosse team concluded its 2010 season on Wednesday evening with a 26-11 loss to Merrimack at Sodexo Field in Rindge. The Ravens finished the season with a 6-9 record and a 4-7 mark in the Northeast-10, however, they did win three of their final five games. Merrimack improved to 10-2 and 8-2 in league play.

The Ravens improved to 6-8 overall and 4-6 in the Northeast-10, while the Greyhounds fell to 1-10 and 0-9 in league play.

The Ravens held off a late rally by AIC to improve to 5-8 overall and 3-6 in the Northeast-10. AIC fell to 7-6 and 2-6 in league play.

(March 18, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's lacrosse team concluded its Florida spring break trip with a tough 13-8 loss to Pfeiffer on Thursday afternoon at Rollins College in Winter Park, Fla. The Ravens fell to 1-2, while Pfeiffer improved to 7-1. Sophomore attack Brianna Nash (Oceanside, N.Y.) and freshman midfielder Ashley Lamagdeleine (Westfield, Mass.) each scored a pair of goals to pace the Ravens offensive attack.
