Three Ravens Earn ECAC Northeast All-Academic Honors

RINDGE, N.H. (March 31, 2006) – Senior Rob Arduini (Fulton, N.Y./G Ray Bodley), junior Mike Anderson (Keene, N.H./Laconia Leafs) and sophomore Ben Reynolds (Wallingford, Pa./Green Mountain Glades), of the Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team, were named to the 2005-06 ECAC Northeast All Academic Team. The team consists of athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 or higher while excelling both on and off the ice.

(Feb. 25, 2006) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team suffered a tough 8-5 loss to Saint Michael’s College in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament this evening at Cairns Arena. Saint Michael’s College senior Alex Watts (Cheshire, Conn./Berkshire School) led all scorers, totaling a game-high four points on four assists.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 22, 2006) – The Northeast-10 announced on Monday that fifth-seeded Franklin Pierce will face fourth-seeded Saint Michael’s College in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament Quarterfinals this Saturday at Saint Michael’s College starting at 3 p.m.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (Feb. 18, 2006) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team suffered a tough 9-4 loss to Southern New Hampshire University in Northeast-10 action this evening at the Waterville Ice Arena. Franklin Pierce junior Brian DelSavio (Orangeburg, N.Y./Pearl River) led all scorers with three points, as he notched his first career-hat trick to lead the Ravens.

(Feb. 15, 2006) – The Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team suffered a tough 9-1 loss to Plymouth State College in ECAC-Northeast Conference this evening at the Waterville Ice Arena. Panther seniors Dennis Kane (Westford, Mass./Westford Academy) and Rory Nickerson (West Chatham, Mass./Chatham Bay State Breakers) total a game-high four points each, on a goal and three assists apiece.

Bison freshman Kyle Cook (China Hills, Calif./Bay City Bombers) led all scorers, totaling a game-high seven points on two goals and five assists, while classmate Jacob Cline (Covington, GA/Cincinnati Cobras) notched six points on two goals and four assists.

Sophomore Mike Mallette (Chepachet, R.I./Walpole) and senior Joseph McDonald (Randolph, Mass./Catholic Memorial) led all scorers, as each totaled two points. Sophomore Pat Forshner (Natick, Mass./Avon Old Farms) and junior Josh Hechter (Winnipeg, Man./Pr. George Spruce Kings) led the Hawks, totaling a three points apiece. Forshner notched two goals and one assists while Hechter contributed with three assists.
