Three Ravens Earn ECAC Northeast All-Academic Honors

Three veterans honored for efforts on and off the ice.

RINDGE, N.H. (March 31, 2006) - Senior Rob Arduini (Fulton, N.Y./G Ray Bodley), junior Mike Anderson (Keene, N.H./Laconia Leafs) and sophomore Ben Reynolds (Wallingford, Pa./Green Mountain Glades), of the Franklin Pierce Ice Hockey team, were named to the 2005-06 ECAC Northeast All Academic Team. The team consists of athletes who have maintained a cumulative grade point average of a 3.0 or higher while excelling both on and off the ice.

Reynolds played 20 games this past season for the Ravens, totaling 17 points on eight goals and nine assists. He recorded multi-goal games three times during the season, en route to his six power-play goals and one game tying goal against Assumption College (1/28).

The two year starter has played in 44 career games, totaling 32 points on 13 goals and 19 assists. During a solid rookie season, Reynolds made his mark on the single season leaders with 24 games played (1st), 10 assists (4th), and 15 total points (8th). This season, Reynolds has continued his success as he has tied the school record for power-play goals with six in a season.

Anderson has been a three-year member of the Ravens Ice Hockey team. This past season, Anderson played in 22 contests, chipping in with five points on one goal and four assists while aiding the Ravens defense. The junior defenseman has appeared in 70 games throughout his career, registering 17 points on four goals and 13 assists.

Arduini has been a four-year goaltender for the Ravens. This season, Arduini started 15 games in goal, stopping 494 shots while registering a .858 save percentage. Over his career, Arduini has appeared in 29 games as a goaltender, stopping 771 shots in 1221 minutes played. The senior net-minder currently ranks third all-time in saves, games played and minutes played, while also ranking second in save percentage.

Franklin Pierce finished this past  season with a 1-19-4 (1-12-3 ECAC NE, 1-4-0 NE-10) record and qualified as the fifth seed in the Northeast-10 Conference Tournament.
