Franklin Pierce Piles up 14 NE10 Academic All-Conference Selections

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 29, 2021) -- Franklin Pierce University has had 14 student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the spring season, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. The selected Ravens were among 113 student-athletes across 10 sports honored by the NE10.

Franklin Pierce Athletics Announces 2020 Hall of Fame Class

RINDGE, N.H. (June 16, 2021) -- Selected last summer, but delayed by the pandemic, the Franklin Pierce University Department of Athletics is pleased to finally announce its 2020 Hall of Fame class, which features three inductees, including a pair of former All-Americans. The 2020 class will join the 2021 Hall of Fame class, to be selected this summer, for a joint induction weekend, to be held on Oct. 1-2. The formal induction will take place at a private social on Friday night, Oct. 1. The two classes will then be honored publicly on Saturday, in conjunction with the Oct. 2 football game against Assumption.

UPDATE: Dorr, Fortier Named to NEILA All-New England Second Team, All-Academic Squad

Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse senior midfielder Josh Dorr (Brunswick, Maine) and senior defender Kyle Fortier (Derry, N.H.) were chosen to the New England Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (NEILA) Division II All-New England Second Team and the All-Academic Team it was announced by the organization.

Men’s Lacrosse Falls at No. 1 Le Moyne, 15-5, in NE10 Quarterfinal

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (May 1, 2021) -- Senior Josh Dorr (Brunswick, Maine) netted his fifth hat trick of the season on Saturday afternoon, but it would not be enough for the Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team, which ran into a national powerhouse in the semifinal round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The seventh-seeded Ravens suffered a 15-5 loss on the road to second-seeded and No. 1 nationally ranked Le Moyne on the road at Ted Grant Field. Graduate student Matt Hutchings piled up five points (3-2-5) to lead the way for the Dolphins.

Dorr, Fortier Earn All-N10 Honors; Men’s Lacrosse has Four Honored by Conference

MANSFIELD, Mass. (April 29, 2021) -- Seniors Josh Dorr (Brunswick, Maine) and Kyle Fortier (Derry, N.H.) have earned All-Northeast-10 Conference Third Team honors, as announced on Thursday by the league office. In addition, sophomore Eric Bua Jr. (Revere, Mass.) and freshman James Heitmiller (Nashua, N.H.) have been named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team.

Rooney, Alibrandi Power Ravens to NE10 Quarterfinals with 13-8 Victory

The Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team used a pair of five-point performances from freshman midfielder Conor Rooney (Wilmington, Mass.) and senior attack Mike Alibrandi (Holliston, Mass.) as the Ravens beat the College of Saint Rose 13-8 in the Northeast-10 Conference Championship – First Round Wednesday afternoon at Sodexo Field.

Men’s Lacrosse Takes Care of Saint Michael’s on Senior Day, 9-5

RINDGE, N.H. (April 24, 2021) – It was Senior Day for the Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team on Saturday, as the Ravens took to Sodexo field to close out the 2021 regular season with a matchup against Northeast-10 Conference opponent Saint Michael’s College. Freshman goaltender James Heitmiller (Nashua, N.H.) was locked in for the Ravens, as he made 12 saves against 17 shots in a 9-5 Franklin Pierce win.

Men’s Lacrosse Drops Lightning-Shortened Affair to Bentley, 12-6

April 21, 2021

RINDGE, N.H. (April 21, 2021) -- Just minutes into the third quarter on Wednesday afternoon, the skies opened up above Sodexo Field. With the torrential rain came plenty of lightning, which forced an early end to the Northeast-10 Conference contest between the Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team and Bentley. After a delay, the game was ultimately called with 13:46 to play in the fourth quarter, and Bentley picked up a 12-6 win. Graduate student Joey Tesoriero scored four times in the victory for Bentley, while senior Kristopher Campbell had a five-point day on a goal and four assists.

#14 Hawks Halt Men’s Lacrosse Win Streak

April 17, 2021

MANCHESTER, N.H. (April 17, 2021) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team's three-game winning streak came to an end on the road with a 15-6 setback at no. 14 nationally-ranked and Northeast-10 Conference opponent Saint Anselm College Saturday afternoon at Grappone Stadium. The loss sends Pierce to 3-5, 3-5 NE10 while the hosts remain unblemished at 8-0, 8-0 NE10.

Men’s Lacrosse Comes From Behind for Third Straight Win

April 14, 2021

The Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team came back down 9-7 in the fourth quarter scoring the final three goals of the game for their third straight win, a 10-9 victory on the road at Northeast-10 Conference opponent Assumption University Wednesday afternoon at Brian Kelly Stadium. The win moves the Crimson and Gray to 3-4, 3-4 NE10 while the Greyhounds remain winless at 0-4, 0-4 NE10.

Heitmiller Named NE10 Rookie of the Week

Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse freshman goalkeeper James Heitmiller (Nashua, N.H.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week the league offices announced Monday afternoon. It is the first time this season a Raven men’s lacrosse athlete has earned a weekly honor.

Men’s Lacrosse Rolls over AIC, 17-4

RINDGE, N.H. (April 10, 2021) – With the temperature in the 70s and the sun shining, the Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team took to Sodexo field for a matchup against Northeast-10 Conference opponent American International College on Saturday afternoon. Much like the weather, the offense heated up as well. Senior Josh Dorr (Brunswick, Maine) notched a hat trick, while sophomore Sean Daly (Kingston, Mass.) led all players with five points (2-3-5), as the Ravens cruised to a 17-4 victory.

Daly, Six Goal Third Power Men’s Lacrosse to First Win

Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse sophomore midfielder Sean Daly (Kingston, Mass.) matched a career-high with four goals and five points as the Ravens earned their first victory, an 11-5 decision on the road at Duffy Field on the campus of Northeast-10 Conference opponent Saint Michael’s College Wednesday afternoon. With the win, the Crimson and Grey move to 1-4, 1-4 NE10 while the Purple Knights slide to 3-2, 3-2 NE10.

Ravens Comeback Bid Not Enough in Double OT Loss to SNHU

For the second consecutive meeting, the Southern New Hampshire University men’s lacrosse program rallied from a late deficit scoring the final four goals of the contest to defeat the Franklin Pierce University Ravens 14-13 in double overtime Saturday afternoon in Northeast-10 Conference action at Penmen Stadium. With the win, the Penmen improve to 3-2, 3-2 NE10 while the Ravens remain winless at 0-4, 0-4 NE10.

Men’s Lacrosse Downed by No. 17 Saint Anselm, 13-6

RINDGE, N.H. (March 31, 2021) – Eight first-half goals proved to be more than enough for Saint Anselm on a rainy Wednesday afternoon at Sodexo Field, as the No. 17 nationally ranked Hawks dealt the Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team a 13-6, Northeast-10 Conference defeat. Four goals from sophomore Jack Andrews led the way for Saint Anselm, while Franklin Pierce was led by a three-point afternoon (1-2-3) from sophomore Sean Daly (Kingston, Mass.).

COLCHESTER, Vt. (March 24, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team travelled to the campus of Saint Michael’s College to take on the Purple Knights on Wednesday afternoon at Duffy Field. Freshman Conor Rooney (Wilmington, Mass.) shined in the defensive struggle with a hat trick for the Ravens, but it would not be enough. Franklin Pierce suffered a 7-6 loss to the Purple Knights in Northeast-10 Conference play.
