EASTON, Mass. (April 12, 2021) – Franklin Pierce University men's lacrosse freshman goalkeeper James Heitmiller (Nashua, N.H.) has been named the Northeast-10 Conference Rookie of the Week the league offices announced Monday afternoon. It is the first time this season a Raven men's lacrosse athlete has earned a weekly honor.

Heitmiller started both games in the cage for Pierce leading the Ravens to a perfect 2-0 week. He played 112:33 minutes in net notching 20 saves (69.0 sv%) with a 4.80 goals-against average and the first two wins of his collegiate career. In the 11-5 win at Saint Michael's, Heitmiller made 13 saves allowing only five goals. He followed that up stopping seven shots and letting through only four goals on Saturday at home against American International.

On the season, the Raven newcomer is 2-4 with 78 saves, the second-highest total in the conference, a 9.94 goals-against average, the fourth-lowest in the league, and the fifth-best save percentage at 56.9%

The Ravens look to win the third straight game on Wednesday, April 14th when they travel to Assumption College for an NE10 bout at 3:00 p.m.
