(April 18, 2011) -- Three Franklin Pierce University student-athletes, men's basketball's Kinard Dozier (Dedham, Mass.), women's basketball's Marielle Giroud (Martigny, Switzerland) and ice hockey's Sean Woodring (Rogue River, Ore.), were recently named to the 2011 Northeast-10 Conference Winter All-Academic Teams for their respective sport.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (February 26, 2011) – Senior forward Adam Ziegler scored his second goal of the night 7:06 into overtime on Saturday night to give sixth-seeded Southern New Hampshire a 3-2 victory over the third-seeded Franklin Pierce University ice hockey team in the quarterfinal round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena. Sophomore forward Nate Ashley (Ogdensburg, N.Y.) scored his first career goal in defeat for the Ravens.

(February 25, 2011) -- The Franklin Pierce University ice hockey team has wrapped up its preparation for the first round of the 2011 Northeast-10 Conference playoffs, which begin with the first round Saturday night in Winchendon, Mass. RINDGE, N.H. (February 25, 2011) – Sophomore forward Roscoe Sweeney (Falmouth, Mass.) leads three members of the Franklin Pierce University ice hockey team who have been selected to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Conference teams, as announced Friday by the conference office. Sweeney was named to the All-Conference First Team, while both sophomore defenseman Brendan McCarron (Andover, Mass.) and freshman goaltender Dave O’Brien (Groton, Mass.) were selected the All-Conference Second Team. In addition, freshman defenseman Bryan Colella (Medfield, Mass.) has been named to the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team.

FOXBOUROUGH, Mass. (February 19, 2011) – Sophomore forward Adam Dallaire (Waltham, Mass.) scored three times to record his first career hat trick on Saturday evening, as the Franklin Pierce University ice hockey team posted a 5-2 win over Stonehill in Northeast-10 Conference play at Foxboro Sports Center. With the victory, Franklin Pierce set a new program record for most wins in a season and clinched the third seed in the upcoming Northeast-10 Championship.

(February 16, 2011) – Junior forward Justin Adams (Homer, Alaska) and sophomore forward Bill Sullivan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) notched a goal and an assist each and senior goaltender Matt McCarthy (Natick, Mass.) made 47 saves on Wednesday night to lead the Franklin Pierce University ice hockey team to a 6-4 win over Assumption in Northeast-10 Conference play at Buffone Rink. Senior defenseman Matt Scioli scored a goal and added two assists in the losing effort for Assumption.

BIDDEFORD, Maine (February 8, 2011) – Sophomore forward Roscoe Sweeney (Falmouth, Mass.) scored three times to record the second hat trick of his career and added an assist to total four points on Tuesday night, but the Franklin Pierce University ice hockey team was defeated, 6-4, by University of new England in non-conference play at Biddeford Ice Arena. Sophomore forward Paul Kashmanian scored twice for UNE in the victory.

(January 29, 2011) – After over a month on the road, the Franklin Pierce University ice hockey team put on a show at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena in its return home on ‘Pierce Pride Night’ on Saturday night. Sophomore forward Roscoe Sweeney (Falmouth, Mass.) scored twice and added a pair of assists for a four-point night, while sophomore forward Adam Dallaire (Waltham, Mass.) scored twice and sophomore forward Michael Carr (South Boston, Mass.) chipped in three assists. Franklin Pierce scored three power-play goals and added a shorthanded tally on the night.
