RINDGE, N.H. (February 24, 2012) – Sophomore forward Brandon Dennis (Williamsport, Md.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team has been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team, as announced Friday by the Conference office. He was a unanimous selection by the Northeast-10 coaches.

WESTFIELD, Mass. (February 21, 2012) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team wrapped up its 2011-12 season on Saturday night, dropping a 3-0 decision to Westfield State in non-conference play at Amelia Park. Senior goaltender Ben Siok (Holden, Mass.) made 32 saves in the final start of his career for the Ravens.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (February 18, 2012) – Sophomore forward Brandon Dennis (Williamsport, Md.) tallied a goal and an assist on Saturday night, but the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team was defeated, 3-2, at home by Southern New Hampshire in Northeast-10 Conference play at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena. Sophomore forward Brian Troy broke a 2-2 tie with the game-winning goal for SNHU with just 90 seconds to play in regulation.

(February 8, 2012) – Senior forward Pat O’Kane scored his second goal of the game with 90 seconds to play in overtime on Wednesday evening to lift Assumption to a 6-5 win over the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team in Northeast-10 Conference play at Buffone Rink. Senior forward Pat Shortt (New Haven, Conn.) and junior forward Sean Dunn (Quincy, Mass.) tallied three points each in defeat for Franklin Pierce.

(February 4, 2012) – Junior forward Dino Federico (Canton, Mass.) and senior forward Bill Sullivan (Pittsburgh, Pa.) scored power-play goals 3:22 apart in the third period to turn a 4-3 deficit into a 5-4 lead and put the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team on its way to a 6-4 victory over Stonehill in Northeast-10 Conference play at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena. Senior forward Pat Shortt (New Haven, Conn.) finished with two goals on the night. The Ravens honored their five-player senior class prior to the game.

(January 31, 2012) – Sophomore goaltender Dave O’Brien (Groton, Mass.) made 35 saves on Tuesday night, but the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team dropped a 5-2 decision to Saint Michael’s in Northeast-10 Conference play at Cairns Arena. Sophomore forward Ryan Arsenault scored the game-winning goal and added an assist as one of four Saint Michael’s players to tally two points in the win.

FPU had 11 different players register a point in the victory.

(January 23, 2012) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team saw a 3-1 third-period lead evaporate on Monday night, as sophomore forward Bill Carey and junior forward Dana Borges scored 1:56 apart in the final five minutes of regulation on to lift Stonehill to a 3-3 tie in Northeast-10 conference play at Foxboro Sports Center. Junior defenseman Brendan McCarron (Andover, Mass.) scored twice in the draw for Franklin Pierce.

Junior forward Adam Dallaire (Waltham, Mass.) scored the lone goal in defeat for Franklin Pierce.

Sophomore forward Brian Troy collected a goal and an assist to post a two-point night for SNHU in the loss.

(January 10, 2012) – Junior forward Tom Mills (Oxford, England) scored the game-winning goal 1:58 into overtime on Tuesday afternoon to give the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team a 4-3 win over Suffolk in non-conference play at Walter Brown Arena. Sophomore forward Charlie McGinnis scored twice in a losing effort for Suffolk.
