Dennis Dennis' five-point week earned him Northeast-10 Player of the Week honors.

RINDGE, N.H. (January 17, 2012) – Sophomore forward Brandon Dennis (Williamsport, Md.) of the Franklin Pierce University men's ice hockey team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for the week ending on Jan. 15, as announced Monday by the Conference office. In addition, senior goaltender Ben Siok (Holden, Mass.) has been named to the Conference's Weekly Honor Roll.

The Ravens posted victories in both of their games last week, with Dennis playing the central role in the offense, tallying 2-3-5 over the two games. On Tuesday afternoon, he dished out a pair of assists in Franklin Pierce's overtime win at Suffolk. On Saturday night, Dennis found the net twice and also provided an assist on the game-winning goal at Southern New Hampshire.

It is the second straight Northeast-10 Player of the Week accolade for the Ravens, after Michael Carr collected the honor last week, and the third of the season for the club, with Tyler Cornele being honored for the week ending on Nov. 20. For Dennis, it is his first career Player of the Week award, though he was named to the Weekly Honor Roll earlier in the year (Nov. 20).

Siok made 47 saves against 52 shots for a .904 save percentage over the two games last week and posted a 2-0-0 record. He made 23 saves at Suffolk, and added 24 more against Southern New Hampshire.

It is the first Weekly Honor Roll selection for Siok this season, and the third of his career.

The Ravens return to the ice on Saturday, Jan. 21, when they travel to Framingham State for a non-conference contest. Opening faceoff is scheduled for 2:30 p.m. at Loring Arena in Framingham, Mass. Franklin Pierce next plays at home on Saturday, Jan. 28 against Assumption at 7:30 p.m.
