14 Ravens Selected to the NE10 Spring Academic All-Conference Team

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 26, 2022) - Fourteen Franklin Pierce student-athletes across seven spring sports pushed the envelope in the classroom, earning NE10 Academic All-Conference accolades per the official announcement by the league office on Wednesday morning. The fourteen Ravens selected to Academic All-Conference were out of a pool of 130 total selectees from the NE10 Conference for the 2022 spring season.

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 8, 2022) -- For the third straight year, the Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team has the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Year. For the second straight year, it boasts the NE10 Coach of the Year as well. Freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) has been selected as both NE10 Player and Rookie of the Year, while head coach Tyler Bishop ’08, ’10 has been tabbed as NE10 Coach of the Year, as announced on Wednesday afternoon by the league office. The awards highlighted a banner day for the Ravens, who had four others earn All-NE10 accolades as well.

(5/20/22) – After the final round of golf had been played for the 2022 campaign, the first round of post season awards rolled in with freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) receiving Women's Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-East Region Team honors for the women’s team.

Women’s Golf Finishes 10th at NCAA East Regional

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 4, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team closed out its season on Wednesday, at the third round of the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by William Jewell, at the par-71, 5865-yard Shoal Creek Golf Club. It was a 10th-place finish, out of 15 teams, for the Ravens, who slipped one spot on the final day, after a third-round 317 (+33). Freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) finished tied-12th as the team’s highest individual finisher in an 81-golfer field.

Women’s Golf Slips to Ninth at Second Day of NCAA East Regional

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 3, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team showcased its consistency on Tuesday at the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by William Jewell. The Ravens followed up Monday’s first-round 318 (+34) with a second-round 319 (+35) at the par-71, 5865-yard Shoal Creek Golf Club, and slipped one spot to ninth place in the 15-team field. For the second straight day, freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) led the team, this time with a five-over 76, and she sits tied-10th with one round remaining.

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (May 2, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team opened play at the NCAA Championship East Regional on Monday, with the first of three rounds at the par-71, 5865-yard Shoal Creek Golf Club. Freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) led the way for the Ravens with an opening-round 73 (+2), and is part of a five-way tie for third through 18 holes. As a team, the Ravens turned in a 318 (+34), and are eighth, out of 15 teams.

Women’s Golf Named as Eighth Seed in NCAA Championship East Regional

INDIANAPOLIS (April 26, 2022) -- With its win at the Northeast-10 Conference Championship back in October, the Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team has long been assured of an automatic bid in this spring’s NCAA Championship. On Monday afternoon, the NCAA made it official, as the full 48-team field was announced. The Ravens were selected as the eighth seed in the East Region, and will travel to Kansas City. East Regional competition is slated for May 2-4 at Shoals Creek Golf Club, and William Jewell College will serve as the host institution. It is the second straight NCAA berth for Franklin Pierce, and the program’s third overall.

Women’s Golf Runs Away with Senior Showdown at Stonehill

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (April 25, 2022) -- Out in front by 24 shots after Sunday’s first round, the Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team barely slowed down on Monday, at the final round of the Senior Showdown, hosted by Stonehill. The Ravens fared five shots worse than Sunday, but were still 17 strokes better than their closest competition to finish off a 48-stroke victory atop a four-team field. Freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) matched her opening-round score with a second-round 74 (+2) to lead the team individually, in third place. The Senior Showdown was contested at The Ranch Golf Club, a par-72, 5822-yard track.

SOUTHWICK, Mass. (April 24, 2022) -- Just one week out from NCAA Championship play, the Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team began its final regular-season tune-up on Sunday at the Senior Showdown, hosted by Stonehill. Thanks to a late scratch, the Ravens fielded just a four-player lineup in the first round, but it did not slow them down. Led by an even-par 72 from freshman Phisonlaya Ruayruen (Chiangmai, Thailand), Franklin Pierce leads a four-team field by 24 shots midway through the two-day tournament, held at The Ranch Golf Club, which checks in at 5822 yards.

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. (April 19, 2022) -- It was the fifth win of the season on Tuesday for the Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team, as the Ravens converted a first-round lead into a 28-shot victory at the Yellow Jacket Invitational, hosted by American International, at the par-72 Ledges Golf Club. Freshman Phisonlaya Ruayruen (Chiangmai, Thailand) led Franklin Pierce with a second-place finish, as the Ravens put four golfers inside the top 10 of a 40-golfer field.

(April 14, 2022) -- Coming off a successful weekend for both teams, the Franklin Pierce University golf program collected three of the four available Northeast-10 Conference weekly awards, as announced on Wednesday afternoon by the league office. On the women’s side, freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) was named as both NE10 Player and Rookie of the Week. For the men, junior Michael Sosik (Fiskdale, Mass.) snagged NE10 Player of the Week accolades.

(March 22, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team wrapped up its trip to Florida on Tuesday, with the third and final round of the Barry University Invitational, at the 6020-yard, par-72 Senator Course at Shula’s Golf Club. Freshman Phisonlaya Ruayruen (Chiangmai, Thailand) turned in a final-round 74 (+2) and moved up one spot to finish tied-12th, but the Ravens slid one spot to 10th, after a Tuesday 313 (+25).

(March 21, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team got back to competition on Monday, as the Ravens opened the spring portion of their season with two rounds of play at the Barry University Invitational, at the 6020-yard, par-72 Senator’s Course at Shula’s Golf Club. Freshman Phisonlaya Ruayruen (Chiangmai, Thailand) led the effort for Franklin Pierce on Tuesday and is tied-13th with one round to play, while the team is currently ninth, in a high-caliber 13-team field.

Prukmathakul Victorious, Women’s Golf Takes Fourth at Music City Invitational

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (October 19, 2021) -- Entering the second and final round of the Music City Invitational with a four-shot lead, freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team did not need to be the best in the field on Tuesday, but still nearly was anyway. Her even-par 72 was tied for the second-lowest round of the day, as she coasted to a five-shot win in a 95-player field. At the team level, the Ravens backed up two shots with a second-round 307 (+19), but were still able to secure a fourth-place finish in the 16-team tournament. The event was hosted by Trevecca Nazarene at the 5972-yard, par-72 Old Fort Golf Club.

MURFREESBORO, Tenn. (October 18, 2021) -- It was the round of the season thus far for Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) in the suburbs of Nashville on Monday. The freshman fired a six-under-par 66 to claim a four-shot first-round lead at the 95-golfer Music City Invitational, hosted by Trevecca Nazarene University. The performance led the way for the Franklin Pierce University women’s golf team, which turned in an opening-round 305 (+17) and is tied for fourth, in a 16-team field, midway through the two-round event at the 5972-yard, par-72 Old Fort Golf Club.
