Women’s Golf Plays to Tie Against Merrimack, 312-312

NASHUA, N.H. (April 10, 2022) -- The Franklin Pierce University women's golf team squared off with Merrimack in a dual match on Sunday, with the former Northeast-10 Conference foes playing to a 312-312 draw. Freshman Kesinee Prukmathakul (Bangkok, Thailand) took medalist honors with an even-par 72 at the 5965-yard Nashua Country Club.

Prukmathakul was followed by fellow freshman Phisonlaya Ruayruen (Chiangmai, Thailand), who tied for second in the 15-player field, two shots back at 74 (+2). From there, it was a drop off of seven shots to the next Raven, as sophomore Kayla Schuberth (Wrentham, Mass.) was solo-seventh at 81 (+9). Juniors Alia Godek (Feeding Hills, Mass.) and Micaela Leandro (Harlingen, Texas) tied each other for 10th, at 85 (+13), to round out Franklin Pierce's five-player lineup.

After Prukmathakul and Ruayruen, Merrimack filled out the rest of the top five. Junior Jacquelyn Stiles tied Ruayruen for second at 74 (+2) and junior Alexandra Tomasso was fourth at 78 (+6), while freshmen Yiting Pan and Prakruthi Sastry both carded 80s (+8) to tie each other for fifth. Senior Jordan Laplume rounded out the Warriors' five-player lineup in eighth, with an 83 (+11).

Both sides fielded multiple players as individuals beyond their respective five-player lineups. For Franklin Pierce, sophomore Alexis St. Laurent (Nashua, N.H.) bested both Godek and Leandro with an 84 (+12) to finish ninth, junior Liz Crandall (Pawcatuck, Conn.) shot a 93 (+21) to finish 14th, and freshman Kaylee Lintner (Walpole, N.H.) turned in a 96 (+24) to place 15th. For Merrimack, sophomore Caitlin White and freshman Charlotte Cute were 12th and 13th, respectively, at 86 (+14) and 88 (+18).

The Ravens are back in action on April 18-19, when they travel to the Yellow Jacket Invite, hosted by American International at Springfield Country Club.
