RINDGE, N.H. (May 5, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University men's varsity four rowing team finished third in its respective event at the 2010 New England College Rowing Championships this past weekend in Worcester, Mass. The Ravens finished in a time of 7:21.675, and it marked the second-consecutive race the team finished among the top three in an event.

Men's Rowing Finishes First at Lake Quinsigamond Race on Saturday

RINDGE, N.H. (April 17, 2010) The Franklin Pierce University mens rowing team had a strong showing at the Lake Quinsigamond Race on Saturday as the squads A boat (mens varsity four) finished first in a time of 7:11.4. The teams B boat (mens four) finished fifth in a time of 8:44.6. Franklin Pierces top boat has now finished either first or second in each of its four races this spring. It marked the second time this spring the Ravens won a race as they finished first in the Amherst College Tri-Meet back on March 27.

RINDGE, N.H. (April 5, 2010) The Franklin Pierce University mens rowing team picked up its second top-two finish in as many races this past weekend as the Ravens placed second in the Lake Quinsigamond Race. Amherst won the race in a time of 7:24.8, while the Ravens followed in second with a time of 7:29.6. WPI placed third (7:39.4) and Clark rounded out the field in fourth (7:54.2).
Men's Rowing Places First at Amherst College Tri-Race

HADLEY, Mass. (March 27, 2010) -- The Franklin Pierce University men's rowing team took first place in a single-event race on Saturday versus Amherst College and Mass-Maritime Academy in Hadley, Mass. The Ravens placed first in a time of 6:30.2, while Amherst finished second at 6:50.5. Mass-Maritime rounded out the field with a third-place time of 7:08.3.

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. - The mens team competed in the Collegiate 4+ Final and placed 14th out of 21 teams with a time of 3:23:56.23. The team was comprised of Zach Goodman (Andover, Mass.) at the cox, Ian Randall (Leominster, Mass.) at the stroke, Dan Forget (East Lyme, Conn.) at the 3, Bret DiCrescenzo (Haddon Township, N.J.) at the 2 and Joe LaCava (West Hartford, Conn.) at the bow. The womens team competed in the Collegiate 4+ Final race and placed 19th out of 21 teams in a time of 3:42:38.23. The team was comprised of Julie Waxman (Manchester, Conn.) at the cox, Mairecait Binienda (Worcester, Mass.) at the stroke, Brigit Arell (Basking Ridge, N.J.) at the 3, Samantha Bizen (South Windsor, Conn.) at the 2 and Morgan Miller (Kingston, N.Y.) at the bow.

The Franklin Pierce University mens and womens rowing teams competed at the New Hampshire Championships this past weekend in Hooksett, N.H. The Ravens placed a team in the Womens Open 2- race and finished first in a time of 20:06.31. The two team members were Mairecait Binienda and Brigit Arell.
