Men and women each compete in a race

RINDGE, N.H. (October 8, 2009) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s and women’s rowing teams competed at the 30th Annual Textile River Regatta this past weekend in Lowell, Mass.

The Ravens entered a team into the Men’s Open Varsity 4+ event and finished 15th out of 26 teams in a time of 16:38.367. Members on the team included Zach Goodman (Andover, Mass.) on the cox, Joe LaCava (West Hartford, Conn.) on the bow, Brett Dicresenzo (Haddon Township, N.J.) on the 2, Dan Forget (East Lyme, Conn.) on the 3, and Ian Randall (Leominster, Mass.) on the stroke.

On the women’s side, Franklin Pierce entered a team in the Women’s 2- event and finished third out of three teams in a time of 21:06.033. The pair of competitors in the event for Franklin Pierce included Brigit Arell (Basking Ridge, N.J.) on the bow and Mairecait Binienda (Worcester, Mass.) on the stroke.
