RINDGE, N.H. (February 26, 2014) – Freshman forwards Aaron Blaker (Rolling Meadows, Ill.) and Brett Oldaker (Canonsburg, Pa.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team have been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team, as announced Tuesday by the Conference office.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (February 19, 2014) – Senior forward Ted Walsh (Quincy, Mass.) scored twice in his final collegiate game on Wednesday night, including a goal with 4:50 to play which gave the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team a 4-3 lead at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena. Southern New Hampshire would answer with a pair of late power-play goals to pull out a 5-4 Northeast-10 Conference victory, however, including the game-winner off the stick of freshman forward Jay Sylvia with four-tenths of a second remaining on the clock.

CANTON, N.Y. (February 15, 2014) – Sophomore goaltender Kyle Moran (Marshfield, Mass.) piled up 42 saves for the second straight day on Saturday afternoon to keep the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team in the game, but SUNY Canton eventually came away with a 5-4 overtime victory in non-conference play at Roos House. Senior forward Ilester Little (Dallas, Texas) forced overtime by capping a two-goal, third-period rally with 1:59 to play in regulation, while junior forward Austin Root scored the game-winning goal for SUNY Canton.

(February 14, 2014) – Senior defenseman Tyler Cornele (Cape Coral, Fla.) scored the game-tying goal at 12:58 of the second period on Friday night, as the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team erased a 2-0 deficit to skate to a 2-2 tie against SUNY Canton in non-conference play at Roos House. Sophomore forward Jordan Grimsley and freshman forward Nick Vasilopoulos scored in the first period for SUNY Canton.

(February 4, 2014) – Sophomore forward Brendan Glynn (Quincy, Mass.) scored a third-period goal on Tuesday night, but it was not enough to erase a 4-0 deficit for the Franklin Pierce University men’s ice hockey team, which dropped a 4-1 decision to Saint Michael’s in Northeast-10 Conference play at Cairns Arena. Freshman defenseman Danny Divis had a goal and two assists to post a three-point night in the win for Saint Michael’s.

However, Framingham State forced overtime and a 3-3 tie in the non-conference affair, as junior forward Ryan McDonald and senior defenseman Robert Driscoll had a goal and an assist each, with the former figuring in on both goals in the third-period rally.

Wilson Ice Arena. Five different players had two points each and seven different players scored in the victory for SUNY Geneseo.
