Blaker Blaker and Oldaker become the first Ravens to land on the Northeast-10 All-Rookie team since 2011-12, as well as marking the first time multiple Ravens were selected to the All-Rookie Team.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 26, 2014) – Freshman forwards Aaron Blaker (Rolling Meadows, Ill.) and Brett Oldaker (Canonsburg, Pa.) of the Franklin Pierce University men's ice hockey team have been named to the Northeast-10 Conference All-Rookie Team, as announced Tuesday by the Conference office.

Blaker played in 22 of the team's 24 games during his first season in Rindge. Along the way, he scored five goals, including a pair of power-play markers, and added seven assists to total 12 points. Twice he scored the game-winning goal, including in his most-productive outing of the season, when he scored twice and added an assist for a three-point day at Assumption on Jan. 25. After being held off the scoresheet through the season's first half, all 12 of his points came in the second half's 14 games, including a five-game point streak (4-4-8) from Jan. 18 through Feb. 1. He was a two-time selection as Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week.

Meanwhile, Oldaker took the ice for 23 games during his freshman campaign and collected 11 points on five goals and six assists, including a pair of power-play scores. Twice during the season he had multiple points in the same game, both coming during the second half of the campaign. On Jan. 10, he had a goal and an assist at SUNY Geneseo. On Jan. 25, he dished out a pair of assists at Assumption. Once during the season, Oldaker was named Northeast-10 Rookie of the Week.

Both players were among the top 10 in the Northeast-10 in freshmen scoring, as Blaker ranked sixth and Oldaker ranked seventh. The duo represented two of only nine freshmen in the league to top 10 points on the season.
