RINDGE, N.H. (April 1, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team has had 14 student-athletes named to the New England Hockey Conference All-Academic Team, as announced earlier this week by the Conference office.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (February 28, 2016) – Senior forward Karsyn Baker (Detroit, Mich.) and senior defenseman Sarah Sheils (Pittsburgh, Pa.) popped two goals each in their final collegiate game on Sunday afternoon, as the third-seeded Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team defeated fifth-seeded Saint Michael’s, 6-0, in the consolation game of the NEHC Open Tournament, hosted by Saint Anselm at Sullivan Arena. In all, Ravens seniors collected nine points on the day, including five of the six goals.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (February 27, 2016) – The third-seeded Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team struggled to generate offense all afternoon on Saturday at Sullivan Arena, as it was outshot by second-seeded Saint Anselm, 36-8, in the second semifinal of the New England Hockey Conference Open Tournament. Saint Anselm was able to strike twice in the final seven minutes of the second period, providing the game’s only offense, as the Hawks posted a 2-0 win. Franklin Pierce junior goaltender Noelle White (Corona, Calif.) made 34 saves for the Ravens in defeat.

RINDGE, N.H. (February 25, 2016) – Senior defenseman Hayley Arnold (Barre, Vt.) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team became the first player in program history to earn All-Conference honors on Thursday afternoon, when the New England Hockey Conference announced its end-of-the-season awards. For her work on the blue line this season, Arnold has been named to the All-NEHC Second Team.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (February 20, 2016) – On the program’s first-ever Senior Night, a goal each in the second and third periods on Saturday night was enough for the Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team, which notched a 2-0 win over Southern Maine in New England Hockey Conference play at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena. Junior goaltender Noelle White (Corona, Calif.) made 18 saves on the night to post the shutout.

WINCHENDON, Mass. (February 19, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team turned up the pressure against Massachusetts Boston throughout the second and third periods on Friday night at the Jason Ritchie Ice Arena. Ultimately, however, the Ravens could only beat Beacons sophomore goaltender Rachel Myette once on the night, as Franklin Pierce suffered a 2-1 loss in New England Hockey Conference play.

(February 16, 2016) – Senior Kara Charette (Fairhaven, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s basketball team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week, as announced on Monday by the league office. In addition, sophomore Tom McGuckin (Clayton, N.J.) of the men’s ice hockey team has been named Northeast-10 Co-Goaltender of the Week and four other Ravens have landed on the Weekly Honor Roll in their respective sport.

(February 13, 2016) – Senior forward Karsyn Baker (Detroit, Mich.) scored the only goal the Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team would need 12:08 into the first period on Saturday night at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena. She would later add another goal as well, leading the way in Franklin Pierce’s 4-0 win over Manhattanville in New England Hockey Conference play.

(February 12, 2016) – Leading just 1-0 halfway through the second period, the Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team poured in four goals in a span of 5:58 in the second half of the stanza to push to a 5-1 lead which it would hold the remainder of the way on Friday night at Plymouth State. Junior forward Michelle Holmes (Goffstown, N.H.) and senior forward Karsyn Baker (Detroit, Mich.) had three points each on the night for the Ravens in the New England Hockey Conference victory at Hanaway Rink.

(February 6, 2016) – Holy Cross went a perfect 3-for-3 on the power play in the second period on Saturday afternoon, as the Crusaders built a 3-0 lead they would not relinquish against the Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team. For its part, the Ravens’ power play came up empty in seven chances in a 5-1 loss in New England Hockey Conference play at Hart Recreation Center.

Instead, Norwich, ranked No. 8/9 nationally in Division III, held the Ravens to a lone third-period goal and skated away with a 3-1 victory in New England Hockey Conference play at the Jason Ritchie Ice Arena.

(January 30, 2016) – Junior forward Alex Brolsma (Bloomington, Minn.) jammed home her own rebound at the left post at the 4:11 mark of overtime on Saturday night, as the Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team managed to survive a third-period Salve Regina comeback to secure a 4-3 overtime win in New England Hockey Conference play at St. George’s School Ice Rink. It was the second straight night the Ravens saw a third-period lead evaporate, but the second time around, the team was able to rebound to find the overtime winner.

(January 29, 2016) – A goal each in the first and second periods helped the Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team take a two-goal lead into the third period on Friday night, but sophomore forward Kaitlyn Spillane capped the Saint Anselm comeback 50 seconds into overtime, as the latter came away with a 4-3 win in New England Hockey Conference play at Jason Ritchie Ice Arena. Saint Anselm -- which trailed 2-0 and 3-1 in the third period -- went 3-for-6 on the power play in the third stanza, including a pair of 5-on-3 goals, to rally to force the extra session.

(January 23, 2016) – Junior forward Marisa Ketterman (Palmer, Alaska) scored first on Saturday afternoon for the Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team, but Saint Anselm scored the remaining four to deal a 4-1 loss to the Ravens in New England Hockey Conference play at Sullivan Arena. Senior forward Sarah Geisinger scored twice in the win for Saint Anselm, while junior forward Alex Starzyk added a goal and two assists.

(January 16, 2016) – The Franklin Pierce University women’s ice hockey team’s penalty killing unit was perfect again on Saturday afternoon, and added a pair of shorthanded goals for good measure at Levy Rink, as the Ravens rolled through Nichols, 5-0, in New England Hockey Conference play. The Ravens killed off all seven Nichols power plays on the day and are now a perfect 52-for-52 on the penalty kill on the season.

Senior forward Karsyn Baker (Detroit, Mich.) was credited with a pair of goals to lead the way for Franklin Pierce at Cairns Arena.
