Franklin Pierce Piles up 14 NE10 Academic All-Conference Selections

MANSFIELD, Mass. (June 29, 2021) -- Franklin Pierce University has had 14 student-athletes earn Northeast-10 Academic All-Conference honors for the spring season, as announced on Tuesday by the league office. The selected Ravens were among 113 student-athletes across 10 sports honored by the NE10.

FLUSHING, N.Y. (May 8, 2021) -- Back in the national tournament for the first time since 2003, the No. 47 nationally ranked Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team took to the courts as the fourth seed in the NCAA Championship East Regional on Saturday evening. The Ravens suffered a 4-0 defeat at the hands of top seed Concordia (N.Y.), on the campus of Queens (N.Y.) College.

FLUSHING, N.Y. (May 7, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team is headed into NCAA Championship play for the third time in program history, and the first time since 2003. The Ravens will officially return to the dance on Saturday, May 8, when they take to the court as the fourth seed in the NCAA Championship East Regional, hosted by Queens (N.Y.) College. Franklin Pierce’s first-round opponent is the top-seeded Clippers of Concordia (N.Y.).

INDIANAPOLIS (May 4, 2021) -- For the first time in nearly two decades, the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team is going dancing. The Ravens earned the third NCAA Championship berth in program history (2002, 2003) on Tuesday night, when the NCAA announced the tournament’s 35-team field. Franklin Pierce is the fourth seed in the East Region, and will take on top seed Concordia (N.Y.) in the opening round. Second-seeded Queens (N.Y.) will serve as host of the East Regional.

WALTHAM, Mass. (May 4, 2021) -- Looking to stay sharp in case it is selected to the NCAA Championship, the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team took to the road to take on Brandeis in a non-conference contest on Tuesday afternoon. The Ravens suffered a 7-2 defeat at the hands of the Judges.
Men’s Tennis Clipped in NE10 Final by Le Moyne, 4-1

SYRACUSE, N.Y. (May 1, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team took the court in the final round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship for the third time in program history on Saturday afternoon. For the third time, the team had to settle for the runner-up trophy. The third-seeded Ravens were defeated on the road by the league’s regular-season champion, Le Moyne, 4-1.

(April 27, 2021) -- Graduate student Kevin Denecheau (Artigueloutan, France) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team has been named Northeast-10 Conference Player and Rookie of the Week, for the week ending on April 25, as announced on Tuesday afternoon by the Conference office.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (April 27, 2021) -- For the first time since 2005, the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team will return to the final round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship. The third-seeded Ravens went on the road for the semifinal round on Tuesday afternoon and took down second-seeded Southern New Hampshire, 4-0. Franklin Pierce will be in search of its first-ever NE10 title, after finishing as runner-up in 2003 and 2005.

(April 26, 2021) -- It was a whole cabinet full of hardware for the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team on Monday afternoon, as the Northeast-10 Conference announced its end-of-season awards. Graduate student Kevin Denecheau (Artigueloutan, France) highlighted the haul with his selection as NE10 Rookie of the Year. The Ravens also earned nine All-NE10 awards and had four players named to the NE10 All-Rookie Team, in the biggest collection of postseason awards in program history.

RINDGE, N.H. (April 24, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team wasted no time in the first round of the Northeast-10 Conference Championship on Saturday afternoon. The third-seeded Ravens blitzed sixth-seeded Stonehill at home, 4-0. Graduate student Kevin Denecheau (Artigueloutan, France) and freshman Ivan Bernal (Madrid, Spain) led the way, as they teamed for a win at second doubles, before picking up victories at second and third singles, respectively.
Men’s Tennis Caps Regular Season with 5-2 Win over Bentley

NASHUA, N.H. (April 22, 2021) -- With conditions blustery outdoors across New England, the Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team and Bentley agreed to meet indoors on Thursday afternoon to wrap up their Northeast-10 Conference regular-season schedule. The Ravens came away with a 5-2 win when all was said and done at the Longfellow New Hampshire Tennis & Swim Club.

COLCHESTER, Vt. (April 20, 2021) – The Franklin Pierce University men’s tennis team hit the road on Tuesday to open up the final week of regular-season play with a trip to Saint Michael’s. The Ravens came away with a 7-0 sweep, highlighted by a pair of 6-0 shutouts in doubles play.

MANCHESTER, N.H. (April 8, 2021) -- The Franklin Pierce University tennis program suffered its first defeat of 2021, men’s or women’s, on the road on Thursday afternoon. The men’s team dropped a hotly-contested, 4-3 affair on the road against Southern New Hampshire. The victory allowed SNHU to avenge a loss from last week, which had snapped a 38-match winning streak in Northeast-10 Conference play for the Penmen.
