(January 2, 2007) – Franklin Pierce senior back Mia Makarainen (Espoo, Finland) has been selected to the 2006 ESPN The Magazine College Division Academic All-America Women’s Soccer Third Team by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA). The College Division teams are comprised of NCAA Division II and III and NAIA student-athletes as selected by CoSIDA’s Academic All-America committee.

(December 28, 2005) – Franklin Pierce women’s soccer head coach, Jeff Bailey, has been voted the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas New England Region Coach of the Year by his peers. Bailey is now eligible for NSCAA/adidas Division II Coach of the Year accolades to be announced at the Association’s winter convention in January.
