Track & Field Has Four Earn USTFCCCA All-Academic Accolades; Teams Honored as Well

RINDGE, N.H. (August 10, 2018) – Graduate student Nicole Galewski (Whitman, Mass.) and senior Emily Quinn (West Bridgewater, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University women’s track & field team, along with freshman Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) and graduate student Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) of the men’s team, have all earned All-Academic honors from the United States Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association, as announced earlier this summer by the USTFCCCA. In addition, both the men’s and women’s squads were honored as All-Academic Teams by the USTFCCCA.

Men’s Cross Country/Track & Field’s Gradijan, Holmes Earn CoSIDA Academic All-District Honors

RINDGE, N.H. (June 5, 2018) – Senior Martin Gradijan (Lebanon, N.H.) and graduate student Jon Holmes (Albany, N.Y.) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s cross country and track & field teams have been named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District I First Team, as announced late last week by CoSIDA (College Sports Information Directors of America). As a result of the selection, Gradijan advances to the Academic All-America ballot.

(May 26, 2018) – Running for the final time in his collegiate career, graduate student Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team turned in a fifth-place finish in the national final of the 800 meters on Saturday evening at the NCAA Championships, hosted by Johnson C. Smith University at the Irwin Belk Complex.

Running out of the third preliminary heat -- alongside freshman teammate Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) -- Minors qualified for the Saturday final of the 800 meters at the NCAA Championships, hosted by Johnson C. (May 12, 2018) – A mere seven-thousandths of a second separated first from third place in the 800 meters on Saturday, with the wild finish highlighting the second day of the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Dartmouth. The Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team had two of the said top-three finishers in the event, as freshman Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) won it, followed by graduate student Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) in third.
Reddy Sets School Record for Men’s Track & Field at First Day of NEICAAA Championships

(May 11, 2018) – Sophomore Jeff Reddy (Chester, N.H.) set a new school record on Friday on the way to All-New England honors in the 10,000 meters, as he was one of three competitors to represent the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team on the first day of the NEICAAA Championships, hosted by Dartmouth College.

(May 5, 2018) – It was another day, another pair of Northeast-10 Conference titles for the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team on Saturday, at the second and final day of the NE10 Championships, hosted by Southern Connecticut State at Jess Dow Field. Freshman Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) won the 800 meters, while the 4x400-meter squad successfully defended its crown from a year ago.

(April 20, 2018) – It was coast-to-coast action, or at least action on both coasts, on Friday afternoon for the Franklin Pierce University men’s track & field team, which had a pair of student-athletes in action at high-caliber meets. Out west, graduate student Dage Minors (Hamilton Parish, Bermuda) ran in the 800 meters at the Mt. SAC Relays in Torrance, Calif. Back east, freshman Hugo Arlabosse (Marseille, France) ran an 800-meter race of his own, at the Larry Ellis Invitational in Princeton, N.J.
