Ferreira Named Northeast-10 Player of the Week

RINDGE, N.H. (March 17, 2008) – Senior captain Luke Ferreira (Farmington, Maine/ Mount Blue) of the Franklin Pierce University men’s lacrosse team was named the Northeast-10 Conference Player of the Week for the week ending March 16, the conference office announced on Monday afternoon. With the honor, Ferreira becomes the first men’s lacrosse player in program history to earn NE-10 Player of the Week honors.

Koolman Named NSCAA/adidas Division II Coach of the Year

(January 3, 2008) – Franklin Pierce University senior All-America goalkeeper James Thorpe (East Longmeadow, Mass./Bridgton Academy) has been named the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas NCAA Division II men’s soccer Player of the Year. Thorpe will be recognized at the NSCAA National Convention in Baltimore, Md., later this month.

(December 27, 2007) – Franklin Pierce University men’s soccer head coach, Marco Koolman, has been voted the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)/adidas New England Region Coach of the Year by his peers. Koolman is now eligible for NSCAA/adidas Division II Coach of the Year accolades to be announced at the Association’s winter convention in January.
