Bio

Sarah Flore wrapped up her second year as a Graduate Assistant Coach with the Franklin Pierce field hockey program in 2013.

A four-year letterwinner in field hockey at Castleton State (bio), Flore made her collegiate coaching debut in Rindge in 2012. In 79 career games for the Spartans, she tallied 21 goals and 25 assists for 67 points, including 14-6-34 as a senior in 2010 to lead the team in scoring on her way to All-North Atlantic Conference Second Team accolades. As a sophomore in 2008, Flore contributed 2-9-13 while playing in all 22 games for a team that captured the first NAC title in program history to send the team to the NCAA Championship for the first time. Castleton State qualified for the postseason in each of her four years on campus, but would fall in the semifinal round of the NAC Championship in each of the other three years.

As an interesting enough side note, Flore and the Spartans lost in the first round of the 2008 NCAA Championship, 2-1, to SUNY Cortland, which featured another eventual Franklin Pierce field hockey Assistant Coach in Nicole Benscoter.

Flore was also a four-year letterwinner in softball at Castleton State (bio), hitting .317/.401/.398 (AVG/OBP/SLG) over 249 at-bats in 95 career games, primarily at first base. As a sophomore in 2009, she hit .333/.415/.403 in 72 at-bats to earn All-NAC Second Team honors. Flore saved her best for last, putting up a .333/.418/.441 slash line over 93 at-bats as a senior in 2011. The Spartans earned postseason berths in the NAC Championship in each of her four years on campus.

Originally from Springfield, Vt., Flore graduated from Castleton State in 2011 with a bachelor's degree in business management and sport administration and is pursuing her master's in business administration in the sports management program at Franklin Pierce.
