BLOOMSBURG, PA (9/8/24) – The Franklin Pierce field hockey team fell in their second game of the season on Sunday afternoon, dropping a 4-0 contest at the hands of the Huskies of Bloomsburg University. The Huskies would score three times in the first half to grab their third win of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Huskies' Genna Bush scored less than a minute into the match, tapping it in behind Raven's goalkeeper Zoe Noorlag (Amersfoort, Netherlands) from a cross by Kara Koch.
- Aria Caputo (Gloucester, Mass.) applied pressure with a shot in the fourth minute.
- The Huskies closed out the fourth quarter by capitalizing on a penalty corner to make the score 2-0.
- In the second quarter, Aydan McFarland sliced it past the Ravens goalkeeper in the 21st minute to give Bloomsburg the 3-0 lead.
- Jessica Serafin closed out the Huskies' scoring in the 39th minute on a lifted ball off the cross bar.
INSIDE THE LINES:
- The Huskies outshot the Ravens 23-3.
- Noorlag would see eight shots on goal and recorded five saves. Addy Araneo (Yorktown Heights, N.Y.) had two saves on three shots on goal.
- Caity Hazley (Kingston, Mass.) had a team-high two shots.
