Two earn All-Conference nods, one on All-Rookie Team

Northeast-10 All-Conference Teams

RINDGE, N.H. (November 4, 2015) – Senior midfielder Natalia Bachelder (South Berwick, Maine) and sophomore forward Carly Canavan (Kingston, N.Y.) of the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team have both been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Second Team, as announced on Wednesday afternoon by the Conference office. In addition, freshman midfielder Raegan Moulton (Baldwinville, Mass.) was named to the Northeast-10 All-Rookie Team.

For Bachelder, it marks her second straight selection to the All-Northeast-10 Second Team, while Canavan earns her first All-Conference nod after landing on the All-Rookie Team a year ago.

Bachelder started all 18 games as a defensively-minded midfielder for the Ravens this fall, and started every game the team has played over her four years in Rindge. Her offensive contributions primarily came through her role as the stopper on the team's penalty corner unit. Bachelder dished out five assists this fall and attempted 12 shots, including five shots on goal, along the way.

Canavan had her second straight 10-goal season in 2015, as she finished with 24 points on 10 goals and four assists, leading the team in both points and goals while playing in all 18 games. Within the Northeast-10, she was tied for eighth in goals and ranked ninth in points. A year ago, Canavan became the first Raven in program history to have a 10-goal season prior to her junior year, a feat she repeated this fall. She is now only the second player in program annals with multiple 10-goal campaigns to her credit, and will enter her junior season with 20 career goals, already tied for fourth all-time in program history.

Moulton finished fifth on the team in scoring -- the lone freshman in the squad's top five -- as she scored four goals and added two assists to total 10 points while starting all 18 games. Of her four goals, two stood as game-winning markers. Moulton attempted 37 shots on the season, including 15 shots on goal.

The Ravens finished the season at 10-8 (5-7 Northeast-10), posting the first 10-win season for the program since the 2011 squad went 10-9 and advanced to the Northeast-10 Championship. The 2015 Ravens missed out on the postseason by two games and will return players who accounted for 63% of the team's goals for the 2016 campaign.
