RINDGE, N.H. (November 15, 2010) – Junior midfielder Kim Jaksina (Townsend, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce University field hockey team has been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference First Team, as announced Monday evening by the conference office. In addition, senior midfielder Jordan Baillargeon (Westfield, Mass.) and junior forward Tia Levins (Manchester, Maine) have both been named to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Second Team, while freshman back Renee DesPres (Skowhegan, Maine) was selected to the conference's All-Rookie Team.

The quartet led the Ravens to a 9-9 record in the regular season which included a 6-4 record in Northeast-10 play to earn the team its second postseason bid in three seasons. Franklin Pierce will visit American International for the quarterfinal round of the Northeast-10 Championship on Tuesday afternoon. Game time is set for 3 p.m. at Ronald J. Abdow Field in Springfield, Mass.

Jaksina is the second-leading scorer on the team with 10 goals and one assist to total 21 points while starting in all 18 games so far this season for the Ravens. She is a force at both ends of the field and is tied for fourth in the Northeast-10 with four defensive saves. Of her 10 goals, two of them have been game-winning goals. Jaksina chalked up the first hat trick of her career on Oct. 5 at Saint Michael's.

A strong two-way player in the midfield for the Ravens, Baillargeon has had her most effective offensive season in her senior campaign. She is currently tied for fourth on the team with 10 points on four goals and two assists. Baillargeon netted one game-winning goal along the way while starting in each of Franklin Pierce's 18 games. She recorded the first multiple-goal game of her career with two goals against Merrimack on Sept. 8.

Levins Levins has been selected to the All-Northeast-10 Conference Second Team.

Levins is tied for seventh in the Northeast-10 with 12 goals, while adding two assists to lead the team with 26 points, which ranks ninth in the conference. Earlier this season, she became third player in Franklin Pierce history to score 10 goals in a single season (Jaksina later became the fourth). Levins' 12 goals have set a new program record for goals in a single season.

DesPres has been an integral part of the backline for the Ravens all season long. She has recorded one defensive save and has started all 18 games for Franklin Pierce in her freshman campaign.
