RINDGE, N.H. (October 19,
2009) – Sophomore midfielder Kimberly
Jaksina (Townsend, Mass.) of the Franklin Pierce
University field hockey team has been named to the Northeast-10
Conference Weekly Honor Roll for the week ending on Oct. 18, as
announced Monday by the conference office.
Jaksina scored a goal on a second half penalty stroke against No. 5
nationally ranked Massachusetts Lowell on Saturday afternoon. At
the time, the goal tied the game at 2-2, though the Ravens were
eventually nipped by the River Hawks, 3-2. Jaksina also contributed
a key defensive save in the contest. Earlier in the week, she fired
off a career-high nine shots, including four shots on goal, in
Thursday night’s 1-0 loss at Southern Connecticut State.
On the season, Jaksina is tied for second on the team with nine

for the Ravens, attempted 43 shots (20 on goal) and has a pair of
defensive saves.
The Ravens (7-9, 3-5 Northeast-10) return to the field on
Wednesday, Oct. 21, when they host Saint Anselm in a Northeast-10
Conference contest. Game time is set for 6 p.m. at Sodexo Field in
Rindge.
