Blanchard Named Division II North Senior All-Star
Senior forward earns All-Star honors for first time in program history
Laura Blanchard has been named to the NFHCA Division II North/South
Senior All-Star Game.

RINDGE, N.H. (October 19, 2005) –
Franklin Pierce senior forward Laura Blanchard (Rockport,
Mass./Rockport) received field hockey All-Star honors this
afternoon by the National Field Hockey Coaches Association.
Blanchard was named to the NFHCA Division II North Senior All-Star
team. This marks the first time in program history that a Franklin
Pierce field hockey player has received this nomination.
This season, Blanchard has played 17 games for Franklin Pierce,
starting 16. She ranks among team leaders as she has posted 19
shots (2nd), three goals (2nd), and seven total points (3rd) this
season.
A three year starter, Blanchard has played in 64 games, starting
46. She currently ranks among all time leaders with 13 goals scored
(3rd), 29 total points (5th), 44 shots on goal (5th), and 64 games
played (6th). Blanchard ranks among single season leaders with six
goals scored (7th), and 13 total points (7th) during her sophomore
season in 2003.
The 2005 NFHCA Division II North/South Senior All-Star Game will
be played at the University of Louisville on Saturday, November
19th. Game time is 5:30 p.m.
Franklin Pierce (6-11, 4-10 NE-10) will be in action again on
Thursday as it travels to Bryant University for a match starting at
4 p.m.
