Schmutzler Tabbed As NE10 Volleyball Libero of the Week

MANSFIELD, Mass. (9/19/22) – Following a solid performance in a lone 3-1 victory over the weekend, Franklin Pierce volleyball junior Morgan Schmutzler (Lockport, Ill.) was named a recipient of Northeast-10 conference weekly honors, earning volleyball Libero of the Week per the official announcement from the league offices on Monday afternoon. 

For Schmutzler, it is the second time in her collegiate career receiving the honor, having last been named on September 21st, 2021. In volleyball's lone matchup this past week, the Raven libero appeared in all four sets for the squad, collecting 31 total digs with an average of 7.75 digs per set. In addition, Schmutzler recorded three assists and one service ace, while allowing zero opponent aces while on the court. With her 31 digs, Schmutzler has now recorded a minimum 30 digs in two straight matches.

Volleyball continues a three-game homestand on Tuesday, September 20th where they will open their in-conference competition with a matchup versus Saint Anselm College at 7PM.
