Franklin Pierce Rolls Past Saint Anselm, 3-0
Ravens hand Bonaventure 200th career victory with third straight win

RINDGE, N.H. (September 8,
2007) – Franklin Pierce University rolled to a 3-0
(30-20, 30-21, 30-10) victory over Saint Anselm College in
non-conference volleyball action at the Fieldhouse this
afternoon.
The win, Franklin Pierce’s third-straight, marked the 200th
career victory for second-year head coach Sharon Bonaventure. She
has now posted a 200-110 (.645) career record which includes stints
at West Chester (Pa.) University and the University of
Maine-Machias. Bonaventure is now 22-16 (.579) in a season-plus at
Franklin Pierce.
Sophomore Megan Feldmeth (South Pasadena, Calif./South
Pasadena) led the attack for Franklin Pierce this
afternoon as she hit a season-best .647 with a season-high 12
kills, committing just one hitting error in 17 total attacks.
Junior Nicole Buchholz (Ashburn, Va./Stone Bridge)
contributed 12 kills, while sophomore Caitlynn Parnell
(Medina, Texas/Medina) finished with ten kills, 11 digs,
two service aces and two blocks.
Junior setter Karissa Hookstadt (Camarillo,
Calif./Camarillo) totaled 42 assists and two aces for the
Ravens, while freshman Chelsie Kohout (Harrison Township,
Mich./L’Anse Creuse) notched a team-best 15
digs.
Senior Alana McNeil (Lawrence, Mass./Central
Catholic) led Saint Anselm with ten kills, two aces and
three blocks. Sophomore setter Kelly O’Dea (Andover,
Mass./Andover) dished 18 assists.
Franklin Pierce (4-6, 1-0 NE-10) is back in action on Tuesday with
a key NE-10 contest with preseason Conference favoritesBentley
College at the Fieldhouse at 7 p.m. Saint Anselm (1-5, 0-1 NE-10)
visits Bryant University on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
