Ravens defeat Stonehill 3-0, and fall to Pace 3-0 

N. EASTON, MASS. (Oct. 6, 2001) - The Franklin Pierce University volleyball team notched a 3-0 win over Stonehill College and suffered a 3-0 loss to Pace University at the Stonehill College Tri-match this afternoon.

FP started off the afternoon with a tough 3-0 loss to Pace University.Junior Mandy Johnson (Orange, Mass./Maher Regional) led the attack for the Ravens with nine kills and two blocks. Juniors Jamie Fulwood (Hamilton, Va./Loudoun Valley) and Heidi Jensen (South Glens Falls, N.Y./South Glens Falls) led the defense, as they each registered ten digs.

In their second match of the afternoon, the Ravens came back to defeat Stonehill by a score of 3-0. Fulwood posted a season best 11 kills in the win. Johnson recorded 13 kills, 12 digs, and two blocks, while teammate Catrina Cuevas (Puyallup, Wash./J.J. O'Neill N.Y.) tallied nine kills and served four aces. Senior Johanna Schubert (Brooklyn, N.Y./St. Ann's School) led the team in serving, as she served five aces for the Ravens.

The Ravens return to the court on Tuesday, October 9, when they face Southern New Hampshire State in a Northeast-10 battle at the FP Fieldhouse at 7 p.m.
