Errahili Selected as NE10 Field Athlete, Field Rookie of the Week

MANSFIELD, MASS. (2/7/23) – The Franklin Pierce women's indoor track program continued to receive recognition from the Northeast-10 Conference on Tuesday afternoon, as sophomore jumper Nouhayla Errahili (Fez, Morocco) repeated as the NE10 Field Rookie of the Week, while also garnering Field Athlete of the Week honors, per the official announcement from the league offices.

Following last week's honor, it is the second time for Errahili receiving the top marks as a field rookie, and the first time as an indoor participant receiving field athlete honors.

Errahili claims the weekly awards following her performances this past weekend at the NEICAAA Championships, claiming the New England Championship title in the Women's High Jump after clearing a height of 1.70 meters. The victory made her the 13th member in program history to claim an individual New England title, as well as the second consecutive individual to win for the high jump event. Following it up this past Saturday, Errahili also participated in the Plymouth Panther Classic Invitational (hosted by Plymouth State University), and once again claimed the win at High jump after clearing a 1.61 meter bar. Her 1.70 mark at the NEICAAA's was also good for NCAA provisional standards.

For some, it will be back to Boston University this coming weekend for the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational, which will open on Friday, February 10th. The majority of the team will head down to MIT on Saturday the 11th for the MIT Gordon Kelly Invitational.
