Four Tennis Players Named to CSC Academic All-District Team

RINDGE, N.H. (5/13/25) - Four members of the men's and women's tennis teams were named to the 2024-25 Academic All-District ® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by the College Sports Communicators. Ralph Hiebel (Paris, France) and Joe Herin (Tias, Spain) of the men's tennis team and Zoe Asterio-Correa (Toronto, Ontario) and Gabriela Yamate (Sao Paulo, Brazil) of the women's tennis team were selected.
To gain eligibility, student-athletes must post a grade-point average of 3.50 or higher and must be in the lineup for 70 percent of an institution's days of competition.
Hiebel, a senior from France, has excelled both academically and athletically, graduating with a 3.89 undergraduate GPA and currently holding a perfect 4.00 GPA in his graduate studies. On the court, he competed in all 20 matches this season and earned NE10 All-Conference Second Team honors at No. 3 singles and No. 2 doubles. Herin, also a senior, posted a 3.79 GPA as a management major before completing his MBA in Accounting with a 3.94 GPA. He also appeared in all 20 matches and was named to the NE10 All-Conference First Team at No. 1 doubles.
On the women's side, Asterio-Correa, a Sports and Recreation major, posted a 3.80 GPA as an undergraduate and currently holds a 3.875 GPA in the MBA – Leadership program. Yamate, a junior Accounting major, stands out academically with a 3.918 GPA.
The 2024-25 Academic All-District® Men's and Women's Tennis Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions — NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2024-25 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs. The NAIA CSC Academic All-America® program is partially financially supported through the NAIA governance structure.
