MANSFIELD, Mass. (4/18/23) – On Tuesday afternoon, the Northeast-10 Conference announced its next round of weekly honorees for women's tennis, naming sophomore Michela Montori (Lima, Peru) the conference's Player of the Week.

For Montori, who joined Pierce at the start of the semester, it is her first round of weekly recognition from the Northeast-10. She is also the first member of the team to do so this season.

Women's tennis battled against two regional opponents over the past week, and were fueled by a number of solid performances across the board. Montori went 4-0 during that span, claiming two wins in both doubles and singles play, serving as a member of the Raven No. 3 doubles pairing and the No. 6 singles player. On Friday (4/14), Montori's doubles win came by a 6-4 score, along with a two-set win in singles play by matching 7-5 scores against seventh-ranked Queens (N.Y.). Then, Montori completed the weekend with another two victories against Daemen University, winning by a doubles score of 6-1, and another two-set triumph in singles (6-0, 6-1).

Only one match remains on the docket for Women's Tennis, who concludes the spring campaign at Dominican (N.Y.) on Tuesday, April 25^th at 3:00 PM.
