SYRACUSE, N.Y. (9/28/22) - The Franklin Pierce University women's tennis team continued its winning ways in a Northeast-10 conference road matchup on Wednesday afternoon, narrowly coming away with a 4-3 winning decision over Le Moyne College.

Women's tennis makes it three in a row and improves to 3-0 (2-0 NE10) overall following the afternoon victory, as the Dolphins move to an even 3-3 (2-2 NE10) after the loss.

The Ravens took the lead early on after securing two out of three in doubles competition, including a 6-2 winning effort from senior Liria Loria (La Paz, Bolivia) and graduate Ana Platisa (Belgrade, Serbia) at No. 1. To officially clinch the lone doubles point, juniors Maria Penalver (Las Palmas, Spain) and Aynara Ferraz (Canary Islands, Spain) showed a strong performance against the Dolphin duo of Stella Simeonova and Fiona Pepper, winning by a 6-4 set score.

In singles, the two teams kept things interesting with a 3-3 split through all six matchups. At first singles, Maria Penalver bounced back from a first set loss to earn her second win of the match, winning the next two sets 6-0 and 6-2.
