Women's Soccer Ranks 14th Nationally for Second Week In A Row

Kansas City, MO. (9/14/2023) – United Soccer Coaches released its NCAA Division II Top 25 week two poll Tuesday and Franklin Pierce University Women's Soccer ranked 14th nationally.  

United Soccer Coaches is the world's largest soccer coaches' organization that serves members at every level of the game.

In the association's pre-season poll, the Ravens ranked 12th and in week one of the poll shifted to the 14th spot. After two weeks, the team held steady at 14th nationally.

Through three games, Franklin Pierce Women's Soccer earned a 1-0-2 record, with their lone victory being a dominant 3-0 win over Queens College. The two ties include a 1-1 finish against Mercy and a 2-2 final against the University of Bridgeport.

Washed out by the final score in the two ties earned by the Ravens, are the in-game statistics. In the season home opener against Mercy, the Ravens outshot the Mavericks 16-4 and possessed the ball 65% of the time. In the University of Bridgeport game, the Ravens again outshot their opponent 13-7 and possessed the ball 62% of the time.

The Ravens will be back in action Saturday September 16th at home against Saint Rose at 7:00 P.M.
